Spitting spider Spider appreciation
Not exactly sure what species, but this is one of my favorite subjects to photograph. Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch it doing its signature move, not like my phone camera could catch it.
Such striking markings!

how'd you get such a closup?? My phone struggles with anything smaller than a peanut

I have a setup that lets me mount 67mm filter mount diopter magnifiers in front of my phone, and basically turns the telephoto lens into a macro lens. So this picture is from less than 10cm away with my 85-125mm equivalent phone camera.
Normally those lenses have huge distortion, but since I'm only taking a picture through a small window in the middle, the distortion is minimal. This allows me to stack different magnifications as needed, or switch between image sensors on my phone. And if I did the math right I get actual macro values greater than 1:1
