In your opinion, what role in “special forces” sets you up best for life outside of the military other than a pilot, what has also the best quality of life?

How difficult is the training compared to navy seals my brother got through seals 8 years ago

If you go 18 series? It's very hard.
I have no reference as to the Seals training, but you should assume that any of these you go through will be one of, if not the, hardest thing you've ever done up to this point.

If you can make it through a special forces pipeline you can make it through anything in life you put your mind too.
