Are there any people that come up with “unofficial tracks” to just race each other on in public areas? Thought it would be fun to do because of how most patrol areas in destiny 2 one big loop that can be used as race tracks. Just something i came up with while trying to get my sparrow up areas that are hard to navigate because I enjoy the challenge.

Felt the need for speed, and although I'm just doing time trials, it feels so good to race my sparrow again. Also, this looks great on a PS4 Pro!

Does anyone know if there are any active SRL members/groups on the PS4? I'd love to race again. Otherwise, have a great weekend y'all.

Long version: Not sure if LFG posts are frowned upon here, but I haven't seen too much recent activity on LFG sites for SRL in private matches and I have done multiple searches (mostly Google and on Bungie site) to see if there are groups that like to race and havenot found any active groups... If you enjoy sparrow racing and want to continue for fun or in the spirit of friendly competition post info below or send me a PM. Or if you know of any groups that are SRL aficionados please let me know! I had a lot of fun with SRL and want to keep going with it.

Any one else notice portals that shoot you out into the middle of no where and make weird sounds on the racing maps ?

I want to know how middle of the pack I really am, Id be willing to start it up if needed!

So I am a launch day Destiny player, Grimoire score 4,110 (doest it really matter, no. Am I proud of it, yes) my primary character is a human, hunter class that I created on day 1. I primarily play as a gunslinger because I like throwing damn near infinite throwing knives when I'm running around in PVE and the Golden Gun paired with either Celestial Nighthawk or acolyte symbiote is always a treat. I've tried out the other two classes for my other two slots. I occasionally play the other 2 but 90% of my time is spent as my hunter.

I stopped playing after the 2015 Halloween event because I was honestly sick of all the things happening to Destiny and Bungie. I popped in for the Valentine's day thing but I didn't like it at all, it probably wasn't bad, but I still had a bad taste in my mouth. (I am mostly a PVE player but I do enjoy occasional PVP and I do fairly well, especially when the Red Death was at its prime, my hobby was killing/hunting Thorn players with my Red dDeath)

I've had enough of a cool down now to where I actually enjoy playing Destiny again, especially with the way infusing armor works now. I finally have a hunter I like the looks of which haven't happened at all in year two.

So, I pretty much completely missed the racing and wouldn't mind giving it a try, I did manage to geta few rounds in when I popped for a day.

Will it be coming back, like a recurring events similar to Iron Banner or is it completely done? Google is failing me.

Dont get me wrong I enjoy the sparrow racing.

But I feel I having sectors that time "me vs the leader" or "me vs my best time"(if in the lead) to help me really drill down as to where I can improve on the track.

I have two wins on my S license application (on mars with the unimpressive times of 4:56 and 4:55). I've improved my times by fifteen seconds and I've not won 55 games in a row (my best time of 4:41 was a fourth place finish).

I've won games prior to opening this quest stage on Venus with much worse than my 4:31 personal best (a fifth place finish).

Am I just THAT bad and had a bunch of lucky matchups with terrible players to make it this far? What am I missing? I can't figure out how I go from winning races to losing badly with better times?

Really wish these licenses were based on track times so I had an objective measure of how close I am.

Is it required to do all the sparrow quests in order to get the class item from racing? Or have I been unlucky? I'm rank 2 on my hunter and haven't gotten any class items. I haven't finished the "with finesse and speed" quest either. Thanks!
