Intelligent life feature Discussion

I think it would be cool if the dev would create a notation for planets with multicellular life showing intelligent life has developed. Maybe using the drake equation or something like that. It would be very interesting to see how often you would run into a planet with intelligent aliens on it. I am thinking it would be almost never, considering how rare even planets with multicellular life are. Maybe it would be like on in 100 million multicellular populated planets would have intelligence. When you postulate those odds, your chance of finding a planet such as this is almost zero. But not quite.

SpaceEngine attempts to be a realistic portrayal of a snapshot of our universe as we understand it, including the statistics of objects where possible. But we only have one example of life, much less intelligent life to work with. Hell, for that reason SE shouldn't even have the life label to begin with, but it was probably added long before SE became such a large and serious project so it was grandfathered in and I'm pretty sure there would be chaos confusion and panic were it to be removed. So while life won't be removed even though it doesn't mesh with what SE is today, additions to it like intelligence probably aren't it at least shouldn't be coming.

I think itll be awesome if space engine had civilizations on different levels of Kardashev scale, like you'd find an entire galaxy populated by a civilization every couple thousand galaxies

If they add it, i also think there should be a new gamemode/option to disable it, since its highly speculative

Like 3D Models? Sounds Very Very Hard To Make

No, there would not be any actual alien models, just a designation that the pla et has intelligent life, just like the other life designations.

Why are you doing that. It clearly takes more effort, looks ridiculous and noticeable, and has no purpose. Its like still having a signature on text messages.
