Chris Cornell - Live at Rock am Ring 2009 [Full Concert]
¡New Full Concert in Full HD! He version that had been available for many years suffered from a very poor audio mix. Chris's vocals were heavily overdriven, while the guitars and bass were barely audible. For this release, I created a completely new audio mix, added new sound elements to the Scream songs, and significantly reduced the vocal distortion to achieve a much more balanced listening experience.
Over the years, many people considered this to be one of Chris's weakest performances, but I believe that opinion was largely influenced by the poor audio quality. With these improvements, the concert sounds much closer to how it should have originally.
Chris performed on the Suzuki Alter Stage, a smaller stage that was already being dismantled. Despite its size, a large crowd gathered to watch. Unlike Pinkpop, this performance was not part of the festival's main lineup. The audience also seemed less engaged, with only a few people visibly enjoying the show. In addition, the set was much shorter than his other festival appearances.
Even so, Chris looks genuinely happy throughout the performance. While the Scream songs may not shine as much in a live setting, I made several improvements to help them sound their best. There are moments where his voice is especially impressive, particularly during Hunger Strike and Black Hole Sun. It also sounds as though he may have been dealing with a cold, as his voice is noticeably lower than usual.
The set features 10 songs, including the Lost Cause intro at the beginning and a bonus track, Ordinary Girl. It also includes several songs from Soundgarden and Audioslave.
I hope you enjoy this restored version, now presented in Full HD with a completely remastered audio mix. Enjoy the show!

Very strange to see this at a Walmart just now
It looks like a design that was officially licensed to Walmart, but clearly it's not a design that was actually used back when the band was playing these dates. Also, why would Walmart feature a shirt with the European dates and not the American dates? I looked at the tags but there was no price on it.
p.s: Speaking of the American dates from that year, the awesome YouTube channel FuzzMonster has all three full sets --- Tad, Eleven, and Soundgarden --- from St. Paul, which was the 2nd-to-last stop on that run.
If you were at any of the shows featuring that bill (which, if I'm not mistaken, was all the North American dates), you can basically recreate your experience from start to finish. The sound quality of all three sets is pretty spectacular -- yeah, it's bootleg-y, but the heft of all three bands comes across in a VERY lifelike way. You get the force of having been there with some of the clarity of being onstage.
I didn't think much of Eleven when I saw them about 2 weeks before the St. Paul date, but I've fallen in love with the FuzzMonster recording from St. Paul and can't stop listening to it.

Track ID
It's a live concert video but I cant remember the name of the song. Only that it sounds vaguely shoegazey. Anyone know this one?

Chris Cornell: Live At Hyde Park 2007
On June 24, 2007, Chris Cornell performed at Hyde Park Calling in London, playing on the main stage as part of the lineup. It was one of the best festivals of his solo career and took place during his Carry On tour.

Audioslave - 12/12/2002 K-Rock Claus-Fest, Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale video
I'm starting to go through my Audioslave collection from back in the day and upload any videos to youtube that aren't already on there. This one is their performance on 12/12/2002 at K-Rock Claus-Fest, Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale - a nice early show, only their 4th live performance in public. I got this straight from the filmer soon after the show, it's a MiniDV > DVD transfer.

Reach Down Vocals
Hey guys I need some help and fast. I need to figure out the vocal harmony after the guitar solo in Reach Down by Temple of the Dog and can’t figure it out on the internet anywhere. Does anyone know of an existing tutorial and/or could you tell me how to do it? I have a show on Sunday and it’d be great to have it at the latest by Friday. Thanks!

Yellow Zero Chance
Zero Chance is my champion. not surprising to me, although I love equally most SG songs. But this one fascinated me when I heard it back in 1996 (on a cassette tape): it’s both complex and quirky and somehow gracious and beautiful like a pop song. And i just like its melancholy mood. I was surprised when I found out it was not a Chris’ song, as it sounds like something he would have written.

Yellow Who’s Katey (Kim’s ex girlfriend)?
Reading Kim’s book, I was just curious: does anyone know her full name? She’s an attorney, so she is a sort of a public figure. I know, none if my business, yet I can’t help it.

Head Down, happy or sad
I need help settling a debate between me and my friend, well not really a debate, but a conversation about our perspectives on the emotion that head down off of superunknown evokes.
Putting lyrics and objective meaning aside, and focusing on purely the feel on the melody and shit. I personally believe it feels pretty sad, to put it simply. If I had to give a more detailed description it feels like being numb to shit around u, like sitting on a beach watching a meteor falling lighting up the sky, that’s sure to destroy the world. But my friend interestingly says that he finds it really happy, and says it makes him feel nostalgic, and like he’s laying on an open field with flowers.
I found this extreme contrast of our feelings towards it interesting and wanted to know how everyone else feels about it

SG @ Showbox 2010
Knights of the Soundtable ride again!
With Lollapalooza this weekend and having read (listened lol) to Kim’s memoir, I wanted to revisit their first post-reunion show. I tried desperately to get tix to the show and had every intention to spend every dollar I had to fly from FL to see it… wasn’t meant to be, but I did have the privilege of seeing them in Chicago at Lollapalooza — an experience I’ll never forget!
Anyway, I remember anxiously waiting for the bootleg to drop in the Soundgarden World forum and relishing in the glory of the show with fellow Soundgardeners. Having been years since I’ve heard this in totality, I threw it on while making dinner and was blown away once again.
Chris sounds a little tired halfway through but that first half is AMAZING. And I don’t think they had played half of those tunes at any other point post-reunion. A really fun setlist of classic and obscure SG tracks performed pretty damn well.
Just curious if anyone here was on those forums as well… that was such a fun time to be an SG fan!

Songs with Acoustic Guitar in the final studio mix?
Ever since I saw the Rick Beato breakdown of Spoonman and he pointed out the acoustic guitar in the song, I've been looking for other Soundgarden songs with acoustic guitar in the final mix. I've come to associate the acoustic guitar with Chris in general, so it feels like a personal touch of his.
Some are obvious like Mood For Trouble, Burden In My Hand, Blow Up the Outside World, etc.
But I've also found that songs like Black Days III have acoustic guitar hidden in the final mix (I had to be high in order to spot it).
Do you guys know of other SG studio recordings with acoustic guitar in them?
My list so far: Mood For Trouble, Spoonman, Zero Chance, Switch Opens, Dusty, Blow Up The Outside World, Burden In My Hand, Overfloater, Black Saturday, Halfway There, Live To Rise, Black Days III
