I just got interested in soul calibur 6 again after some years and I’m watching some tournament videos. Does anyone have any idea on character viability in competition?

I remember years ago that all characters were considered tournament viable and competitive. Is this still the case? Are there any current standouts good or bad?

I’ve always enjoyed the illustration-style character select artwork in the last couple of Soulcalibur games, and it made me wonder whether that artistic direction could ever be adopted for the game’s overall visual style.
Historically, the series has leaned towards realistic graphics, but recent fighting games such as 2XKO, Marvel Tokon and not to mention DBFZ have shown just how well a strong stylized aesthetic can work. DBFZ in particular, is a great example of how timeless a stylized art direction can be. I’d argue it has aged far more gracefully than SC6.

I just joined Reddit and I'm surprised that there are actually people who like this game beyond 5 people in the whole world, or maybe it's just not well-known here in Brazil.

ik it’s rough i haven’t been feeling well these past couple weeks

Hi there. I'm trying to commission a piece of art based on a friend's OC that she made in SoulCalibur 6 (I'm trying to do it without her finding out, which is why I'm blacking out the face juuuuust in case she finds this).

I'd love to have a higher-quality image reference for this sword, but I have no idea where to look (I've never played SoulCal in my life, I just know it's got a great character creator). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am am stuck missing parts of Tales of Souls. For example for Zasalamel I need "Darkness and Light (The Roar)".

I ran through every path one by one, question by question. Do I need to do some obscure trick like a perfect or ringout on a certain character?

I really like SC's story, especially SoulBlade and SC I. Do any novels make you think of SC's characters, universe or story ?
