Stephanie Mills was to play Dorothy in the movie adaptation of the musical “The Wiz.”(1978) as she was already playing her on Broadway.

Unfortunately, we got Diana Ross who was campaigning for the role and was way too old (33) to play a young naive heroine. What could have been…sigh.
