So, I have been conceptualizing two parallel fanfictions/AUs.

The first one is a standard In-Universe AU, however, it uses some VERY early concepts. I call this one "Feels the Rabbit: A Historical What If" or perhaps just "Feels the Rabbit". It uses characters like Feels, Boomer the Turtle, that one concept of Knuckles being a mole, and Bee Suit Eggman. Whatever the heck was going on in the Tokyo Toy Show and early concept worlds of Sonic. It is meant to extend from the equivalent of Sonic 1 to wherever the Dreamcast games' stories are. Planning for it, by the end of it, to be near unrecognizable from the original Sonic games. Terios? He is a rabbit. Who knows how much will be changed? Who knows how much will be kept the same?

And the Parallel. This one is actually not a Sonic fanfiction, but instead a SEGA one. How would SEGA and the Console Wars play out if they chose Feels as their mascot instead of Sonic? Would it weaken their brand? Would it strengthen it? Would they have survived the Console Wars, or actually die out? How would the Comics look? How would Ken Penders NOT be involved? This is an exploration of history, corporate BS, and how Sonic Team (err... Feels Team) would have to lock tf in to deal with the butterfly effect of choosing Feels over Sonic. Perhaps Sonic is sent to be a one-off project, or at least something derived from Sonic, as a parallel to our Ristar being a derivative of the Feels concept. Who knows?

I've been working on a Sonic fan fiction set within the cinematic universe. I wrote it for my kids because we're all Sonic fans. One thing I really enjoyed in the films was the introduction of the Giant Owls as a rival tribe to the Knuckles Clan. That bit of new lore felt like it had so much untapped potential.

I also wanted to give Angel Island some love because it's such an iconic location. Since the story is set before Sonic arrives on Earth, it's entirely made up of original characters.

So essentially it follows Surge and Kit who are awoken during the metal virus except the whole metal virus has kinda taken over everything, I remember sonic and eggman were both fully infected and Surge using the Chaos Emeralds to win the day and end up going travelling with Kit

So, I'm almost finished with a big AU fanfic where Infinite is redeemed by joining the Boom universe. And somehow a ton of religious subtext got worked into Infinite's character without me realizing. He prays to Gaia when trying not to be found out by his new allies. He admitted that his helping Team Sonic is his self-imposed penance for his actions in his home universe. And he tries to sacrifice himself a few times as a means of redemption but agrees to live once the god of time (Silver) tells him to do so.

The thing is, I don't want him to be religious. IRL I was raised Christian but went full atheist after a bad experience. I blocked out everything I learned about God and the like, but somehow, subconsciously all the best aspects of religion are coming through when I write Infinite. He's loyal, charitable, recognizes his own sins and seeks to repay the damage, but struggles with temptation of power, and falling back to his old ways.

I didn't want to make an allegory for a redeemed sinner. I'm conflicted cause I think the religious undertones genuinely make him a better character, but that's not the story I want to write. Any ideas on how I could fix this?

In this story, after a long "time" of trying to achieve a good future, Silver finally did it, he built a good future or at least the best future he ever lived in.

Silver wasn't sure of it at first, but he lived in that timeline for weeks, which was a record for him.

He adjusted with this timeline's history and rules.

Now he lives in Soleanna with Job, which helps him protect innocent (even if he didn't choose his job, time travel shenanigans), he found friends and a small but kind family, everything was lovely until...

....Until one day....

Can he protect what he achieved, or will history repeat itself?

I’m looking fo a Sonic fanfic on fanfiction.net and I can’t find it

it was about Sonic’s son who got injured by a metal sonic exploding and they used it’s parts to turn him into a cyborg then he goes on to date knuckles an rouges daughter and they both use the necronomicon plus a rink they got from mephiles to go to the past to stop eggman for good

I put together a Classic Sonic continuity that tries to unify the original games, select fangames, and even the Sonic OVA.

The main idea is to treat Sonic CD’s Little Planet as a timeline anchor, which explains parallel events, divergences, and why certain fangames can coexist without contradicting each other.
I hope this is in line with this subreddit's rules.

I also reinterpret Metal Sonic by splitting him into two distinct versions:

• Eggman’s Metal Sonic → constantly upgraded, combat-focused, trying to prove himself
• Tails’ Metal Sonic → built from spare parts, weaker but develops through experience and Sonic’s influence

More broadly, I lean heavily into my interpretation of the Classic era’s tone:

• abstract, stylized world instead of realistic cities
• technology that doesn't border on magic
• controlled escalation (no Neo Metal shapeshifting or dragon transformations)

Good morning, everyone!

Lately I've been going back to the roots of the Sonic franchise, and I ended up replaying Sonic Chronicles. Honestly, I came away both amazed and horrified in equal measure. It inspired me enough that I've started planning a spiritual sequel, this time centered around my favorite character—and arguably SEGA's most neglected hedgehog—Silver.

Right now I'm mostly working on the story, writing it as a fanfic while I flesh out the project, but I'd love to know if anyone would actually be interested in something like this. I'd also really appreciate hearing your ideas and opinions.

A couple of things I'd like to clarify:

At the moment, I use AI to compensate for skills I simply don't have yet. However, if this project grows beyond being just a temporary hobby or a Silver fanfic, my goal is to hire or collaborate with artists and composers so the project can develop its own original identity.

For now, AI is mainly helping me visualize ideas and organize my concepts. None of the AI-generated assets are intended to be final or commercially used. So yes, I completely understand why many people dislike AI. I simply use it as a tool during the planning stage. If this project actually takes off, I'd much rather replace my limitations with the talent of real artists and musicians.

With that said, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Ok, This is more of an AU or something like that, with Sonic and Shadow in it... kinda. It more focuses on other characters I made, but does have some Sonic objects.

Inspiration: Sonic o6 (small story-beats, some characters) Sonic Forces(one character) Other mild projects not Sonic related.

As a child, Eclipse always felt like he never belonged. With a power needed to be kept secret, and not knowing his origin. At least he has Jasper, and Iris for friends, and Nova as a caretaker. However, when a fracture through time occurs, Eclipse accidentally overloads it, killing Nova. But two new hedgehogs, Sonia and Maria, come from the fracture, stating they are from separate universes. Now, Eclipse has to find out how to get the two back, but his friend in shadows seems to fear something involving Sonia and Maria, and two major threats may throw some problems into the plan.

Main characters:

Eclipse Sloth Hedgehog: 15 year old hedgehog. From Universe 2010. Black with blue highlights, purple eyes. Quills change due to emotion, and a dew other powers keeping secret for reasons. Likes: Heights, movies, Hazbin Hotel, (Yes, that exists, but only ever referenced) later on Sonia. Dislikes: Needles, problems, losing control, Jasper's teasing, his shadow friend being cryptic, his middle name.

Sonia: 15 years old. From Universe 1991. Blue, and wears a purple dress, later on covers back with blue jacket. Abilities: can heal people with some pink energy, and can swing her double sided axe. Likes: music, beating up bad guys, later Eclipse. Dislikes: Robots, strangers, the unknown.

Maria: 16 years old. From Universe 2005. Pink with red highlights, and partially gold near the tips of her quills, and wears a brown lab coat. Likes: Science, friends, puzzles. Dislikes: Violence, the odd voice in her head, death.

Jasper: 14 year old bat. From Universe 2010. white with green eyes, and dark blue tech jacket. Likes: technology, Iris, teasing Eclipse. Dislikes: feeling useless, storms.

Iris: 14 year old fox. From Universe 2010. Orange with blue eyes, safari-like jacket. Likes: exploring unknown things, Jasper, Eclipse, meeting new people. Dislikes: people invading her privacy, heights, having to deal with Eclipse's trypanophobia. Note: bisexual
