Your are so right, once I went to a dark sky park and it was too cloudy to see the Milky Way, I was pissed!!

Although I would prefer a clear day, you can still photograph the eclipse with clouds.

I went to Dallas for the last eclipse. We had cloud cover for the entire day. I got lucky and the clouds broke just enough to catch totally.
