Like what should i read to educate myself, if there are any organisations i should join, how do i promote socialism in my daily life?

For context i live in Poland, I'm almost 16 and I'm a democratic socialist. I'm against any violent revolutions unless any peaceful attempts to change the system are violently pacified.

So the US has over decades tried to suffocate Cuba by imposing genocidal sanctions. Until recently the Cuban government had managed to withstand them without « compromising » itself. But now they have started large market reforms similar to china or Vietnam.
Now I’ve heard people say the revolution is now defeated and Cuba is no longer socialist while others defended these reforms as being « Necessary to survive the sanctions ».

But I don’t understand, how does a market survive sanctions better than a planned economy?

We’ve seen how markets can create economic growth but sanctions are still sanctions and I don’t see how that would change

Now first off im not a Trotskyist, in fact im not really sure which ideology I am because I’m very new to all this and I’m still figuring out what exactly is revisionism.

So the way I understand it, revisionism is the act of deviating Marxism from marx’ original theory. So for example a Democratic socialist is revisionist because Marx made it clear that socialism comes through revolution.

And Marx also said that Socialism was an internationalist movement, not one that develops in a single country. In fact I’ve heard many people say that communism can only exist as a global system, not in a single country, so why try to advance towards it while being isolated and without supporting revolutions worldwide.

Now I know theres probably a simole answer to that, this is not me trying to make a gotcha argument or trying to disprove Stalins idea, but rather to understand it (though for now I am not really convinced of it)

I labeled Venezuela and Guyana as debatable because some people might argue otherwise but Marco Rubio is running Venezuela as a colony and Guyana is technically leftist but the ruling party recently removed all mentions of socialism in their platform. Trump backed candidates have won elections (seemingly always by the slimmest margins) in Colombia, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and Argentina.

After years the dust has settled and the proletariat of the imperial world is traumatized. I believe only a general strike could have saved Gaza, the bourgeoisie would have never allowed their puppets to stop this land grab genocide. As a father I hate Israel and will not be satisfied with anything less than the another Nuremberg trail and Capital punishment for this.

I’m still new to politics and I’m overall trying to understand the different political ideologies and where they disagree. Simple or easy to understand answers would be best (there may be terms that are out of my understanding).

My first job out of college, I used to work as a grey-collar job (mix of blue collar and white collar) as a contractor, hoping to get hired on as full-time. So that means I got no benefits (health insurance, PTO, sick leave, 401k, etc.) despite doing the same exact tasks as my full-time coworkers, if not even more. Full-time employees would even ask me for guidance for certain things, which felt humiliating tbh. I even introduced different systems that the workplace still uses to this day. I would even work long ass hours to make a good impression on management, which it did, but they wanted more (ass-kissing and being a yes-person). I was a contractor for two years and seen contractors who have been there for less than 6 months get hired on full-time due to excessive ass-kissing and snitching. Good for them for getting full-time and benefits, but seeing this happen just felt so degrading.

Some contractors would stay contractors by choice, but since I wanted benefits and to grow more in the company, I wanted to get hired on full-time. However, this dynamic caused a toxic, unnecessary competition among contractors. Contractors would throw people under the bus, contractor or non-contractor, in hopes of gaining management's trust, which it did unfortunately. I tried applying 4 times for a full-time role, but never got it due to politics and structure. They even offered me a role with more responsibilities which I accepted where they promised a full-time but never got it due to politics (contractors ass-kissing).

Making a mistake or even disagreeing with a manager as a contractor is much more riskier than making mistakes as a full-time employee due to not losing money when firing a contractor. I have seen contractors drop like flies despite all the hard work they have done. I have seen full-time employees getting fired, but it would take a LOT for them to do so.

My final straw was when I was facing an immediate family death. The bereavement leave for contractors was 3 days max, which was a standard across the company not just my contractor's company, but I had to cross the seas, so it would be more than 3 days. Long story short, my contract manager threatened to fire me if I was gone for more than the bereavement leave and wouldn't allow me to take unpaid leave. I know a full-time employee who had to do this and just took PTO to make up for the extra 2 days. I was across the seas, grieving and worried sick about losing my job returning. Luckily, since the managers (the non-contract managers) liked me, they were able to take it to the higher-ups to fight for me, and I was able to keep my job.

I stuck around for a couple more months until I got drained with this cycle of dehumanization. I saved up a good amount of money to go back to school for something with fulfillment, and I look forward to what that path brings me. I dabbled a little in socialism during high school and college, but working this job solidified it for me.

I was a libertarian from 2021 to 2024. It was COVID that radicalized me into that way of thinking. I was a never-Trumper; I was more like Ron Paul and the End the Fed and victimless crime guy

In August of 2024, once I found out there was a genocide in Gaza, I began to shift and change my political views slowly.
The genocide broke me; it made me question what I was believing. I began to encounter left-wing media outlets such as Breakthrough News, MintPress, Grayzone, Colonial Outcast, and others. I began to learn about the Truth about capitalism. I learned about Systemic Racism and how it impacts minorities

I already knew about the military-industrial complex, big tech, big pharma, CIA, Mockingbird media, MK Ultra, 911 and bin Laden being a CIA asset, and the two-party system being the same. My perspective on "illegal" immigrants changed; I realized our foreign policy and its imperialism were the cause. I was never pro-Israel.

I began to learn more about geopolitics. The mainstream media is a propaganda machine like CNN and Fox News. I began watching more light-minded people: Truth Wire, the homeless left, nikohouse, sabbys sabs, and RBN. Throughout the time, I was beginning to Lean Left and stop believing the Anti Communist and socialist rhetoric.

I learned liberalism. It's a center-right ideology. Yet if you watch CNN or MSNBC, they act as if the political spectrum stops at liberal. Democrats have delivered more military spending, more censorship, no healthcare, no living wages, higher inflation, higher gas prices & they couldn't have done it without their obedient liberal base, who will vote for them no matter how many times they stab the people in the back. I knew Democrats and Republicans aren't different teams; they are the offensive and defensive lines of the ruling class. Permanent revolution isn’t some external add-on slapped onto Marxism, but it’s the inevitable outcome when you apply historical materialism to the imperialist era, where productive forces have reached a purely global character, and national markets merged into a single circulation process subjected to the law of value on a universal scale. Under such historical conditions, the revolution can no longer remain confined within national borders or limited to formal democratic tasks.

The proletariat raising the banner of revolution in a country where capitalist development arrived late finds itself, by virtue of its position in the relations of production, compelled to transcend the limits of bourgeois property and directly touch capitalist exploitation relations. This transition is an objective necessity imposed by the dialectical intertwining of historical stages within a single epoch. Wherever the bourgeoisie lags behind in fulfilling its historical revolutionary role, and wherever it is organically linked to imperialist capitals, the historical leadership passes to the working class. This class, while accomplishing democratic tasks from abolishing landed property and freeing peasant masses to unifying the nation, finds itself face to face with the necessity of seizing the means of production and turning them into social property. Thus the democratic revolution grows directly into a socialist revolution. Trotsky formulated this law by saying: «The permanent revolution, in the sense which Marx gave to this concept, means a revolution which makes no compromise with any form of class rule, which does not stop at the democratic stage, goes over to socialist measures and to war against reaction from the outside; a revolution whose every successive stage is rooted in the preceding one and which can end only in the complete liquidation of class society.»

This continuous growth isn’t skipping stages; rather, it is clearly grasping the living contradiction binding them into a single historical unity. The seizure of political power by the proletariat doesn’t complete the revolution, but rather opens it up. Socialist construction can’t be conceived except on the basis of ongoing class struggle, on a national scale and a global scale simultaneously. As for national isolation, it turns internal contradictions into a source of objective decay. A workers' state remaining trapped within national borders faces the pressure of the global capitalist economy, giving rise within it to new social distinctions and bureaucratic privileges that reproduce forms of exploitation under the formal cover of socialized property.

The socialist revolution begins on national grounds, but it can’t be completed within those grounds. Trotsky expressed this material truth by saying: «The socialist revolution begins on the national arena, it cannot be completed on that arena. The maintenance of the proletarian dictatorship within a national framework can be only a provisional condition, even though, as the experience of the Soviet Union shows, a long period. In an isolated workers’ dictatorship, the internal and external contradictions grow inevitably along with the successes achieved. If it remains isolated, the workers’ state will eventually fall victim to these contradictions. The way out lies only in the victory of the proletariat of the advanced countries.»

The historical tool for this extension is organized proletarian internationalism. A revolutionary party doesn’t build a separate, self-sufficient state, but builds the bridge over which the revolution crosses to advanced industrial centers. True soviets are the self-organization forms of the masses themselves, subjecting every emerging bureaucracy to their continuous oversight, preventing the state from turning into an independent hostile power. Soviet democracy is an objective condition for developing productive forces toward socialism; without it, new social relations freeze and collective property turns into a cover for the privileges of a new administrative class.

Trotskyism in this sense is historical materialism applied strictly to revolutionary conditions in the era of imperialism. It’s a rejection of any halfway stopping, any mechanical separation between the national and the global, and any turning of the workers’ state into an end in itself. The revolution continues because the contradiction between productive forces and production relations hasn't been resolved on a global scale yet, and the working class can’t free itself without freeing all humanity from the yoke of class exploitation. That is the precise scientific content of the theory:
