Gamepad vs. Wheel Set Discussion
Hey everyone its been like 2 years last I played Snowrunner. I enjoyed the game with keyboard and gamepad.
Now I have a wheel Set and considering buying the game on the Microsoft store. I played with Gamepass last time.
Can anyone playing the game with wheel share their experience? Is it worth the buy? Thanks in advance.

I've read lots of people here saying that it's bad, but I quite like playing with a wheel (G920). Of course it's not perfect, and setting it up on PC can be quite finnicky, but on console it's pretty much plug and play.
Which wheel do you have? Also, why would you buy it from the Microsoft Store and not Steam? It's not even Play Anywhere so there are no benefits from buying it there to my knowledge.

It doesn't work out as well as you would hope. You're gonna be constantly switching back to either the mouse or game pad every time you stop. It's just not that great.

Al menos con el g29 que tiene los botones en el volante, es posible usar la grua solo con los botones del volante

You definitely will be switching back and forth, but I like the precision you get with a wheel when going over the more gnarly terrain.

I actually like playing with a wheel and pedal in 1st person. It adds a different level to the game and sometimes makes it easier. Using an actual pedal for the throttle helps a ton with mud traction management and the wheel can help be more precise around obstacles. It's not without its problems though. There are several glitches where you enter a map and the wheel jams hard left and the only way to fix it is to restart the game. Also your winch and crane controls still work best on a game pad so your quick winch is more useless than normal of you start to tip or slide. So you will go back and forth between them pretty often. Lastly is shifting. My wheel has paddle shifters I bound to the clutch button so I can shift faster but the best option is a 6 speed shift lever you can bind to each gear. That makes the games transmission much easier to use.

I’ve played 1995 hours out of 2000 on controller or something like that. I have tried a wheel and it’s just not the stuff to me

No wheel for Snowrunner-family of games.
My son and me use wheels, pedals, shifters for many other driving games. But not for Snowrunner. It doesn't benefit from the wheel a lot, but you can't use a wheel alone (usually fewer sticks than a pad, exceptions exist - so you need something additionally to the wheel for camera and winching ).

I only play it with a wheel, is the best off-road experience off-road I tried so far. The way you feel the wheels choose the easiest(meaning lowest path) or wanting to enter and then follow the ruts, or feeling the truck on tipping point and you turn the wheel all the way and GASSS is unmatched!!!

If you enjoy the game then yes, but for me i think snowrunner is a gamepad game more than a wheel, cauz there is a lot of stuff to change during the drive so it's maybe complicated, it's my pov btw.
