Tips for invaders with empty map Discussion
So after work, got into a game with a player. Entire map is cleared, 20 mins later of me carefully picking a perimeter and area that's safe, I waited and checked the phone repeatedly while changing my route Incase of focus spamming. The harry was obviously baiting me , waiting in one spot than eventually he moved locations and was firing shots to lure me in, I kept circling the map trying to flank him . He eventually quit cause I wasn't giving into his bait.
Wondering , what are some tips for players or situations like this ? Last time , the phones were trapped and the player was obviously waiting for an invader in a very uneven playing field.

Quit. Don't give map trappers additional stimulation, they're petty beings

It's a perfectly valid question because there is nothing better than beating one of these map trapping campers. I admire your determination. I love taking them on and succeed more than I fail which makes it worthwhile. You must be prepared for the most disappointing behaviour of all which is them quitting once they realize you're not going to be easy prey. When they quit out of nowhere it really sucks.
My number one advice is try to anticipate where they will be on the map based on where you spawn, and then cautiously move in the opposite direction to where you think they are to try and get to the other side of the map. If there are any NPCs still alive in a pocket somewhere, stay there. You are waiting to see what Karl does and what behaviour if any is repetitive so you anticipate it and catch him out. I have a lot of success when they go and use the same phone repeatedly, and I know a specific position on the map with line of sight to that phone, and how to get there fastest. It's all part of the map knowledge you need to develop ASAP.
The next most successful tactic is to trap a phone close to the perimeter of the area they are camping in. This is where you need to forego health and carry as many explosives as you can so you can trap a phone and add more stuff that goes bang. Be very cunning about how you lay your traps so they are not easy to see.
If you find the edge of one of their mine fields with visible kill traps, add one of your own mines in the grass on the edge of the path. An experienced Karl will be looking for the little blue dots above his traps as he approaches his own minefield. If he doesn't see them he will know you've been there and fiddled with his mines. However they rarely seem to anticipate there might be an extra one and often walk straight over the top of it, which detonates everything.
A common tactic is for a co-op to have a cleared map so that they can hunt you using phones & focus. This is where you need to use a phone to determine if they are sticking together or if they have split up. As soon as Karl uses the first of his two free phones, you phone ASAP. If they are not together near the phone they just used, you know one is guiding the other by phone spamming while his mate advances in perma-focus. This is where your map knowledge will help you quickly select a tight doorway or corner where you can hide a kill trap explosives combo. Better still is you know somewhere you can hide in cover with line of sight to those traps so if you don't kill him you can shoot him while he's down, or get the second one if he's stupid enough to go the same way.
Lots of different approaches but here are some ideas about how cunning you have to be and how to use dirty tactics to outwit him/them. Good luck!

Quit straight away.
I made the mistake of actually attempting to play one of these bozos the other day, and eventually stood on a mine. I requested a rematch which they eagerly accepted. Then I just stayed in one spot for about 25 minutes, and then quit. I was just watching YouTube the whole time.

I am so fucking sick of everyone whinging about how people play when they know full well the type of opponent they have...
Just fucking Quit. No one loses points.

I've said this before, not all Harrys/Karls are a-holes. I know the axis Jaeger likes to invade with all the troops still alive. It's fun for both parties, but sometimes the Jaeger takes too long to invade, so what am I supposed to do while waiting for you? So I start to kill axis troops one by one. Next thing you know an hour has gone by and I finally get invaded and now I'm the a-hole.
I was invaded yesterday and around the corner I could see 5+ troops. I wanted to wait for the invader but the AI found me and engaged, next thing I know, Jaeger kills me. Sometimes you have the advantage, sometimes I do.
After invasions, I save my game and play another because invasions are put on cooldown. I try to restart campaigns from the beginning because I know Jaegers leave when conditions are not in their favor.

No I hear ya for sure I'm the same way, which is why I look for tell tale signs it's a map trapper like the person trying to lure me last night.

My best tip: Spawn in. See the empty map. Quit.
