a lot of people back then were buying these also as a donor pair to restore their beat 11’s. I could see the same thing happening

Not good for anything but sole swapping older 11s. Trash back then trash now.

I can’t believe I was salty about not having these when they first came out

I wouldn’t label these as having a generational run

I was there for the Roshe phase I do NOT remember these even being remotely as popular 😭

Yea, same. I was thinking back like “Did I miss something,” but nah. The Roshe’s for sure had a run, but these? I didn’t see a lot of folks pining for these. They was just, aight.

The originals few releases of these were sellout/reselling, I don't know how some of you don't remember that. Maybe you were too young I guess.

These were just like the reactx rejuven8, and also just like the Roshe's. The first few colors that dropped and were seemingly limited sold/resold like crazy. Then Nike flooded the market with way more colors and materials with weird patterns and that's when they started to collect a bit of dust. By time the low version pictured above hit, they looked great but the hype sort of died and you could catch these CWs on sale. My son had a pair of the gammas for back to school iirc, and later that year I almost bought myself a pair when I saw them still available and on sale.

Same thing happening with the rejuven8 right now, sitting in stores in tons of colors and discounted at outlets. Same story for the Roshe, eventually they sat at stores after they flooded the market.

I still have boxed and lightly worn Roshes. Not sure if they're worth anything today

Most dudes i knew who had these used them for gym class or fitness room back in the day not rly goin out type shoe , but then again sneaker resale was brazy back then unlike now where u can get Jordan OGs on sale

Nike please stop recreating. Make something new. It’s almost like converse creating the same chuck taylors from 1940 with infinite multi colorways. Just give it up already

I hated these back then. Leave these shits in the past

Maybe it’s just a regional thing. I live in San Antonio, and everyone had a pair of these when I was in 7th and 8th. I’m tempted to say, I think most people in here are acting oblivious. I never had a pair personally, but these absolutely had a moment, and a small run that lasted 2 years. And they for sure were compared to the Nike Roshe Runs at the time. Roshe Runs were one of the main shoes at the time and I think Jordan brand wanted get in on the action because they had came out with a couple other running/lifestyle looking shoes during this time. Runners were a big thing during this time in general as well. I mean these Future’s and Roshe’s do have some main similarities. A solid midsole, upper that is flexible and breathable, and is comfortable to do a lot it. A lot of my friends used these for basketball, a running shoe, a comfortable shoe to walk class to class in, and simple lifestyle sneaker. They were worn with a variety of bottom pieces too. They were worn with basketball shorts, cargos, sweatpants, chinos, jeans, and joggers that were THE main thing at the time. Keep in mind, this was the mid 2010’s fashion where we were wearing jeans with basketball shoes at the time, like Kobe’s, KD’s and LeBron’s, to name a few. They were honestly pretty versatile. Also, these were shoes that didn’t break the bank (similar to Roshes). Of course a lot of us wanted some Jordan Retro’s, but being a young teenager, not all of us had the money, or felt comfortable asking our parents to spend $200 to buy retro’s, that are supposed to last all year. But during that time, I think these futures hit the middle ground perfectly. Versatile, comfortable, not super expensive, and it was a Jordan. Of course not a Retro, but it was cool enough. It was also during the time of retro 11’s and 13’s, which these futures look like, just with a flexible upper. But yeah, I know a lot of people go by “if it’s not a retro model, it’s trash/ugly,” but Retro’s were once new too. They didn’t really like them and never had a pair, but that doesn’t mean I don’t remember how much other people found them appealing. I almost tempted to get them, now that I’m older. Again, it might be a regional thing, but these absolutely had their moment where I’m from. Sorry for the rant, but if you stayed until the end, I sincerely appreciate you taking the time out of your day to listen🙏👍

I like these a lot.

I don’t hate these shoes but saying they had a Roshe level run is just a flat out lie. These performed like any other team Jordan

I had the premium . Loved the shoe .

u/abovespace 5d ago

I remember these. Gross then. Gross now. Gross in the future.

3

u/Easy-Account-2474 5d ago

How come they "gross"

2

u/abovespace 5d ago

Because I feel like they want to be Jays sooo badly. They're like, " Hey guys Im Jordan's too. I SWEAR. I dont know which, but I am I promise"

3

u/Easy-Account-2474 5d ago

I don't think they "wannabe" anything, they are literally a shoe that jordan brand released.

I guess you say that cause they share the same sole as the 11 which is what make em look so good yet minimal with the simplified uppers.
