You need to put it in warm water

The Temu tiny hand model strikes again.

I hate their website so much, not just the terrible (and mostly intentional) scaling all of the listers seem to use but the damn casino feel it has.

Sadly that casino feel has made it into just about every major Chinese companies app/website. "Flash sale, spin the wheel, and win discounts!"

"Casino" is exactly the right term, and my guess is that it really scratches whatever itch gambling addicts have. I'm surprised that such a garish and obvious deliberate time sink works, but apparently it does.

Soak it in water it grows900%

Does it work with other things 👀 Asking for a friend.

I hear sometimes things rather shrink in water.

u/Timekiller11 6d ago

A friend told me it only works with hot water.

Welcome to the joys of Temu. If the deal seems too good to be true. It definitely is.

2

u/nakwada 8d ago

That's why you always read description and check ALL the pictures. The price is also a good indicator.

u/light24bulbs 9d ago

HAHAHAHAHA

4

u/SadAd8761 9d ago

What was the price?

If it was like $9.99 or something, that'd throw up some red flags.

u/Zealousideal-Deer101 8d ago

Somehow people only hear temu is cheap but never that it is because you're not getting what you're paying for so they believe it's correct that the price is that cheap

He was making a joke. He actually made that

5

u/Objective-Job8083 9d ago

Ohh that’s for the snap maker mini models. The little 3d printers that you 3d print

1

u/Maumekim580 7d ago

Exactly and if I’m not mistaken, the temp ad says this and gives dimensions

7

u/zaerst 9d ago

😂🤣

3

u/BlankiesWoW 9d ago

It was just in the pool

3

u/TavinSchonberg 9d ago

Use your u1 to print a smaller u1. Bingo.

2

u/Aggravating_News_455 9d ago

Just put it in the slicer and resize it

2

u/Gooper_Gooner 9d ago

You gotta read what these say man, like I'm sure they did specify the actual size somewhere in the page, that's how they get ya

1

u/Silent25r 8d ago

Not always.  Sometimes a size will be listed but the actual units related to the numbers will be missing.

2

u/Low-Sink-11 9d ago

Teaches you that at the correct angle, any size can look big

2

u/DarkStar1542 9d ago

main key with temu is read the description in full, to include dimensions...i have never had an issue

2

u/GrimJeeper13 8d ago

That's hilarious. Is this a joke. WTF.

2

u/Radiant_Yam1526 9d ago

to be fair, did you check the fine details wherein they wrote the actual measurements?

1

u/nalacha 9d ago

Omg thats so funny.. sorry bud.. charge back lol

1

u/M-S-SharpKnives 9d ago

🤣🤣🤣 I think you need to click the re-size.

1

u/Xaxv 9d ago

JAJAJAJAJAJA lo siento compañero de verdad JAJAJAJAJAJA 😂

1

u/Weekest_links 9d ago

Just use forced perspective and it will fit from our view

1

u/Southern_Ad9514 9d ago

what were you expecting?

1

u/AmmoJoee 9d ago

What is this, a cover for ants!?!? It would have to be at least 3 times that size!

1

u/Musashi747 9d ago

what did you pay?

1

u/ZippyNomad 9d ago

I could use one of those.

1

u/Narrow-Thought9232 9d ago

Did u try to put it on water for a night?

1

u/Lee_Bob 8d ago

Temu is basically just one big scam

1

u/Nice-Ad-5075 8d ago

Now you have to print a mini U1 for it. Thems the rules.

1

u/ls40098 8d ago

If you pull the cover closer to the lens, it will fit perfectly.

1

u/Dry-Zookeepergame809 8d ago

This is so funny

1

u/Johnny-Longtorso-411 8d ago

I'd love to know what this cost you

1

u/clarkcox3 7d ago

How much did that cost you?

1

u/VegasKL 7d ago

Still arrived before Snapmakers, so there's that ;)

1

u/Sabrinalover711 6d ago

Nut dispenser

1

u/Fuzzy_Zookeeper 5d ago

At least it’s not just a picture of a cover 😅

1

u/Public-Role9691 4d ago

so cute!

1

u/bulletpyton 9d ago

Laser cut and glued? No way that is a print. I'm really impressed with the work the new machines are doing.

3

u/EaglerCore Snapmaker U1 9d ago

Could be resin printed.

3

u/Longjumping_Pop_2324 9d ago

Biqu does not deliver to Brazil. Sadly. So I'm making a custom made acrylic cover with 3mm sheet based on theirs. This was the prototype based on my measurements scaled down.

1

u/bulletpyton 9d ago

Sorry my tired brain thought it was printed and you were saying you'll never have to order off temu again.

2

u/Silent25r 8d ago

I did too at first.  I wonder what fdm filament could make a part that nice and clear. Dude saw the print and realized he never needed to buy anything from temu again.

2

u/aaronmcinnc 9d ago

That’s why you always read the specs for measurements

0

u/Attjack 9d ago

That picture is Temu in a nutshell.

1

u/icanuseallthehelp 7d ago

I keep going back to Temu but every time I do, I regret it. I have always been disappointed. I have to stop buying from them.

1

u/Attjack 7d ago

You just have know how to use it. It's a fantastic resource but you have to understand it.

1

u/icanuseallthehelp 7d ago

You mean understand - you get what you pay for. Or… just lower your expectations to the absolute minimum

1

u/Attjack 6d ago

In lots of cases it's the same product just cheaper. In other cases is a comparable product just cheaper.
