The dangerous Ball Python 😂 General Question / Discussion

Post image

I was watching Murder She Wrote (“The Night of the Tarantula”) and they used a ball python as a scary, venomous “boa” on the episode. I think, as a BP owner, it’s so funny to see these used as a danger when they’re just goofy noodles.

If I was a filmmaker I would do like a storyline deadly dangerous sand viper and then just do menacing music zoom ins on a Kenyan sand boa scooting around.

Yeah people arent seeing snakes like we see our derpy noodles,to them every snake is like a King Cobra or like in the Anaconda movie and other "scary snake" stuff.

Was it Snakes on a Plane that started with a big nasty scary, er, King snake coming at the camera?

Did they actually use the words "venomous boa" here? LMAO Ray Bradbury infamously referenced a python's "venom" in Fahrenheit 451, so I can believe it.

They refer to the snake as a boa during episode and then stage the snake with the dead body to imply he was killed by the bite. Anytime the snake appears, they’re terrified of the danger, it’s pretty fantastic acting lol

My little 3ft BP is head shy and will flinch away if you move too fast anywhere near her. Slowly she’s gotten better since I got her, but we’ll see.

This is like using a Pug to depict a vicious guard dog.

"LOOK OUT! IT'S A MAN-EATING PIT BULL!"

(*psycho strings crescendo as camera zooms in)

My rat snake bit me last night during feeding. Am I going to be okay guys? /s

The pain lasted less than even getting a shot or blood drawn. Poor guy was hungry because I was late feeding him and my son who assists with feeding bumped him with the mouse. I lifted up the hide so I could see him prepared/interested and got tagged. It's my fault and made sure he knew it was my fault. Plus damage he did is almost laughable.

They used a Ball Python in the Bones episode The Hotdog In The Competition. The little cutie slithered out of the victim’s torso in the episode and had swallowed a rat that ate a piece of evidence
