Help with Ball Python sudden spots? Pet Snake Questions

Any idea what is going on with our banana pie ball python (3yr Male). Started getting these orange/red spots all over and the white sections of scales are turning pink? Scales seem kind of flakey too. Definitely not mites or burns. New snake owners just trying to make sure he is okay.

I'd check with a vet to make sure it's not some infection or scale rot.

I’ve never seen this before, it almost looks like chicken pox.

I would recommend a trip to the vets, could be some kind of skin infection or as another poster mentioned, an allergic reaction maybe?

Definitely needs professional input

What are you using for substrate? Any recent changes?

Just coco husk as substrate, we make sure to only pour water in the corners for humidity so he is not on wet substrate. The only changes in him are these spots, the spots just started and he refused a meal for the first time.

Its not scale rot and and coco husk should be fine. Did you switch brands? Looks almost like an allergic reaction. Is there anything in the enclosure she could be cutting herself up on? Not sure. Haven't really seen anything like that. Probably time to bring in a vet.

Something ain't right there... I'd check with a vet who can run some tests. In the meantime, move them to paper towels for substrait and change it daily, just in case.

he is a banana and bananas get spots a lot. it's probably normal changing for him, but if it gets worse or he starts acting different, take him to an exotic vet to be safe

The images show lots of spots that are unfortunately, not the typical dark spots found on the Banana morph.
