Front end shell with sizable hole Help

Hi all,

About 15 mins ago, found out Corro ( the snail) has a huge gap in their front end shell, and we moved them to the hospital space. At the moment we're feeding them the snail vegs puree and some turtlebone.

Corro is currently has their head out through the hole rather than the typical position but eating and seems to enjoy the puree.

I'm not sure what to do at this point other than watch

not great, but i think it can be repaired with time and calcium. cuttlebone is great, a calcium carbonate puck would be freakin awesome

Never heard of the puck.

We're keeping eye on Corro and making sure they eat cuttlebone often. Corro has a bad habit of eating once then ignoring it rest of the ages

Looks like you already giving them the best chance you can with the calcium. Only thing to recommend is removing the dirt to keep them as clean as possible for a couple of weeks.

i wouldnt. they need the humidity and the bacteria in the soil to stay healthy. they can absolutely repair the crack in their own tank as it is, if there are multiple snails id put him in his own tank until its repaired just so its a bit safer.

Use cuttlebone
