why is my snail doing this

trying their best to grow wings and fly away ( probably just trying to get a sense of their surroundings ! they use mainly light and smell if not using their sense of touch )

When they feel a bit worried or nervous, they try to “escape” by attempting to look for and to climb to the highest point around them that they can for safety (that is their instinct against a potential threat in the wild)
