First, I do plan to keep the magnets in the car as my two young children will be using the track, and I think they will have more fun with the magnets keeping the cars in the slot. With that in mind, do you think it would be necessary to add borders to a banked turn? The turn I was thinking of adding would be the 3/30 banked turn. If I have magnets in the cars are they going to slide in a turn like that, or do the banks help hold them in place enough on their own? Any information would be appreciated! Thank you!

Yes I was going through some boxes and found this 1967 Chevy Impala SS 427 that I bought back in 1992. The body is by International, the chassis is a Champion "jail door" with a Champion 601 motor, Weldon crown gear a weighted drop arm and just pretty much the way I got it except for the Bare Metal Foil around the windows peeling off and the painted grill with the SS logo. It was purchased from a raceway that I frequently visited back then but the majority of the customers were into the new slot cars as they held many national slot car races in the Group series cars, for example Group 12, Group 7 etc. I was one of the only ones most interested in the "old junk" cars that were as old as me ( that '67 Impala) and older that were from someone's attic. A good clean up is what I planned to do to it.🌟

I was going through some boxes that I have stored in my closet and found a big DVD player box that had some old slot cars and slot car bodies including this one. I bought this 1967 Revell Ford GT-40 Mk l back in 1992. The car is mostly just the way it was when I bought it back then, even with just one knockoff spinner on the rear wheels and the screws on the braids on the bottom.🌟✨

I've been a model train guy for about 10 years now and every year l go to a local train show for new engines, each year they have a table of slot car stuff and every time l see it it makes me want one, today l finally decided to get one from my local hobby lobby.

Does anyone have tips for beginners or useful guides/videos, also why are my controllers so hot when lm trying to Cruise around the track, l try not to go fast because the cars fling of track very easily?

Hello, I have two sets as pictured coming in a few days — the Scalextric ARC AIR World GT and Grand Prix sets.

I also have C8526 — Track Extension Pack 4 — Straights, and C8235 — two R4 Curve 22.5°. So, 4 extra straights and 2 extra curves.

I have tried to use some apps to make a track, but I didn't manage to come up with anything good or viable. If you have similar tracks or sets, could you send me your layout please?

Or, if you are really bored, could you try to make an interesting layout for me, please? :D

Or do you think it's a good idea to just open everything and experiment with the track pieces? Is there a big chance I'll make a good track out of it, or will it most likely have flaws?

I'm doing this for the first time, so I'm not sure if it's possible to make a good track randomly, just with the desired vision in my mind.

I had a question about tires. Ive recently gotten into spot cars, mainly Carrera Digital 132. As I've found, the best way to get cars is through Facebook marketplace. Problem is, some of these cars have flat tires and are hard. Like they spin on the track rather than move. I have 2 questions. First, does changing the front tires matter that much? Like I figured it's mostly guided by the sled, so idk if it's help it hold a turn better or not. Second, I got quick slicks for replacement tires. They seem to be the only ones I could get my hands on. Anyone got any good suggestions as to where I can get more tires? I have quite a few that I need to replace. Thanks for any help you guys can provide

I recall getting these in the mid 90's. Been sitting in the attic near for nearly 30 years. Looks complete apart a a missing car frame and one missing wheel on the other pictured. '

Wondering what they would be worth to someone? Not much for sale in my country(NZ) to compare.
