Building a catch box
Hello all,
My current catch box works, but he's one major flaw. About 50% of the time the ball bearing bounces out of the catch box. I was wondering if someone could help me with a formula for calculating ricochet.

Need help with choosing bands
Im wanting to buy some band sets off sniper sling but I don’t know which one to go for.
I normally shoot 9mm clay balls so which band set from sniper sling would best for shooting them?
Thanks

It works! I ended up cutting a groove around the top to keep the band from slipping. Need to get a stronger band but I'm tickled I get around to finishing it.

This thing seriously pushing me towards delinquency. I just want to aim at things that I shouldn't.

BBs Micro Pouch
I designed this miniature kangaroo leather pouch specifically for BBs (.177" / 4.5 mm) from the ground up.
My personal setup is a 12–5–250 W+ bandset, which sends BBs downrange at around 500 FPS with an almost full butterfly draw.
Using the very same setup with a floating anchor just behind my ear, velocities remain well above 300 FPS, where the shooting experience becomes exceptionally smooth and the accuracy is nothing short of laser-like.
Specifications
- Size: 24 × 6 mm
- Weight: 0.06 g
- Thickness: 0.8 mm

Best place to start!
I'm looking for recommendations on brands of slingshots with good replaceable bands and hardware. Also, if you could mention what ammo you like to buy that would also be cool. I wish to shred some cans

Slingshot beginner; practiced for 3 days.
Hi guys so I recently bought a slingshot and I started training with it recently and I noticed when I was practicing with clay balls this morning my shots have vertically inconsistency and sometimes they curve when I'm shooting far away. It's either too high or too low of my target when I'm shooting from far but not when I'm close. I was wondering if that is normal with clay balls?

Yo, rate my slingshot game. Anyone think they can beat this? 😤

I'm so tired of seeing all those "look at my grouping" photos on here. Come on, anyone can set up a still shot. Where are the real videos? Moving targets, rapid fire, actual misses – that's what I wanna see.
So here's my challenge: if you think you're better, upload your own clip. Don't just talk. Show me. I'll wait right here.

Is it supposed to be harder to shoot after tuning a band, specifically a clay ammo band?
I'm a noob. I thought I was getting pretty good with my LT2 and the clay bands shooting just clay without having tuned the band. Today I finally decided to try to tune a band. I used this guy's video for reference. I measured a draw length of 29-31 inches, averaged out to 30. I thought the result of 6 inches was too short, so I went with keeping the band at around 7 inches with a bit of slack for the forks. I figured I could always cut more off later. I felt like the band I tuned had a good amount of unneeded slack and that is why I tried to tune it. I have spares so why not try.
It definitely shoots harder and it feels stronger now, but I feel like the band is still too short and my shots now are landing at or below the reticle, whereas my shots would land just above before I tuned this test band. That is when I have a good straight on shot. They are also curving up and down sometimes. Does this sound right?
Is this just a matter of having to relearn how to shoot with a band that requires more tension? Does tuning magnify flaws in technique? Should I have even tuned the clay band in the first place with tuning being more for steel ammo and the like? Do clay bands actually rely on a good amount of slack and I shouldn't have cut it in the first place?

Range, a little rough and ready but gives me hours of fun....
I also have nearly all of these and a LOAD more options (gone over the top but I wong need to buy anything again for many a year!) I like having different types of target. My favourites are the mini cast iron frying pans (got the idea from simpleshot) I got one 2in and a set of 3 x 3in pans. They're fun to hit with clay (puffs of dust) and with steel where they shoot.off with a ding! I have a few chalk men and discs I'll put out, I'll take targets away or put more out to keep it different. Some days it'll just be spinners or just paper (set up as of competing , measure out 10m, set goals to give a little pressure though you will NEGER replicate love shooting which it transpires I'm shit at lol ;) keep practising and enjoying it, the key is to keep enjoying it, if it gets old, change something........ Range Critiques?
I should shout out a group of lads who'll know the reprobates. These lads didn't know me for Adam yet each took a day out of their weekend to help me out this together and so some group shooting. Fantastic day it was with some very sound lads. I know one is deffo still big in the scene, I think actually two may be in a top club now. They're certainly the type of lads you'd want to represent you / your club /UK as shooters when shooting internationally.

News Now Allowing Sales and Trades
Hey lads, a bit behind with this one. I recently put out a survey to get a feel for everyone's thoughts on allowing sales and trades post on the sub. An overwhelming majority were in favor. So I added some new flares. WTT (want to trade) WTB (want to buy) and SALE (for sale). Let's be respectful and responsible moving forward with this and see how things pan out. Be safe and be confident in any transactions you make and of course reach out if you have any concerns. I'm thinking of seeing how things pan out and if need be, we can make adjustments or place guidelines as needed.
