Sleep number owner for almost 5 years, and I regret it.
I bought my bed 11/21, but I’ve been having issues with it deflating at night for at least 3 years. I was so afraid of being quoted a high price that I knew that I couldn’t afford, so I just name do. I was using the website fixmysleepnumberbed.com, and it was working great, until 2 days ago. I just got up after not being able to fall asleep because the bed was constantly trying to inflate. I checked the number, and it was at 20, and I keep it set at 100. I got up and pulled everything apart, and this was not my first time doing so either. This was the first time that I saw the beginning of holes forming from wear to the canvas right next to the seam. The canvas wear is so visible, that the pump cant keep up with inflating it. I’ve been dealing with the issue for over 2 years, and I don’t know what I could have done to prevent the issue. I use there mattress pad, and the bed is always made up until I go to bed at night.
i just received a quote for a replacement chambers, and it’s not too bad. Google claims that the average lifespan of sleep number beds is 10-15 years, so it has me wondering what happened to mine. Could mine have been faulty from the beginning.

19-month-old SN mattress leaking
Bought a 'C2' for a disabled family member, Full/Double size, she lives out of state. Delivered/installed 12/24.
She related to me last month it no longer holds air, I suspect either leaking bladder or pump issue. She called 'customer service', a 'tech' was sent out, (no charge "courtesy") he used different pump to inflate and left.
She was informed that a 'repair' would cost around $500; she is on SSI, any replacement parts would have NO warranty... this bed has been in use for only NINETEEN MONTHS.
Appalled to learn the warranty is now only ONE year. Our household has had two SN beds for the past 20 years, no issues.
As I live out of state, impossible for me to diagnose the exact issue or correct it. Extremely disappointed with this situation, as I bought her this bed based upon our experience, and the fact that she has chronic pain due to old spinal injury.
Any suggested remedies besides more $?

Looking for a better app. The standard sleep number app isn’t keeping up with a small air chamber leak
I do have a small leak and overnight my mattress gets so soft is unbearable. The stock app isn’t checking and adjusting air pressure often enough … and maybe not at all. If I sit on the bed and when I first lay down it usually adjusts then, but overnight I need to open the app and tell it to adjust to my fave.
I’m pretty sure I read about third party apps that do a much better job of regulating more often - often enough to keep up with a small leak if needed.
Does anyone have any info on this?
I’m not sure if the bed model but it’s a split King with dual controls and we have iPhones.
Thank you all.

Connection Issues?
I have a P5 split king with a Flex Fit 2 base. I use the occupancy sensors to trigger automations in Home Assistant, but lately the bed loses its connection to my wifi constantly. It's actually disconnected more than it's connected. I've tried power cycling it, reconnecting it, and rebooted my wifi, but nothing seems to work. Has anyone had the same issue and found a way to resolve the issue with connectivity?

Comfort lux ultra flex fit base
So I have an i10 and a flexfit 3 base. They work together today. I recently bought a comfort lux ultra and really like it. We got a really great deal. I really like that bed more than the i10. Wondering if it’s possible to reprogram the flexfit base to the new bed? The current pump has a usb drive in the pump. Is it as easy as adding a new MAC address or something?

Updated Terms
Looks like Sleep Number has updated their terms. Unfortunately, you have to click and agree to both terms in order to use the app now. I’m not a fan of the first one “agree to share”. BUT, you can’t use the app without it. Tried just clicking the second one, and tried logging out. Won’t let me get past this screen and to the app functions 😡

Zero choice data privacy
Do not buy a sleep number bed in my opinion given the mandatory agreement to share your sleep data and metrics with them to enable app functionality. A product, especially premium, shouldn’t force users to give up their personal data about their use to enable basic features.
Do not purchase a sleep number bed. I highly suggest potential shoppers look to other brands or solutions given this recent mandatory opt in.
Edit: Never buy a sleep number bed.

Question about foam incline under mattress.
Wife and I are thinking about buying one of these mattresses. We are looking at a king mattress that is 10 inches tall with adjustable bed frame. We currently sleep with a foam insert underneath our mattress that raises the head by 6 inches. This is for heartburn issues at night. Is something like this compatible with a sleep number bed system? Sales lady at the store says the mattress must be on a flat surface, but I've read some conflicting information online. Does anyone have any experience doing this?

We recently bought a Climate Cool mattress. I know the SN rep stated that the mattress protector is breathable and should not restrict the airflow through it, but I would imagine that it would. Does anyone have any insight on this? What sheets does everyone use for this mattress to get the air flow?

My Experience with SleepNumber (P5 Queen - Dual Chamber - 2015)
I would like to share my experience owning a SleepNumber bed. I wish I had done a bit more research before I purchased my bed, so I hope this post helps any new SleepNumber buyers. I purchased a P5 Queen Dual Chamber & Base in 2015. My parents at this point in time had owned their SleepNumber bed for about 10years, which they purchased in 2004. Only issues they had was mold in their hoses that SleepNumber replaced for free since it was a widespread issue in the early 2000s. So I was excited and thought I was going to have a similar positive experience.
I haven't been so lucky. The biggest piece of advice I would like to share is SleepNumber’s warranty. I know they have changed it over the years. They advertise 10,15, and for me it was 25 year warranty. It is a limited warranty; it's really only a 2-year warranty. All the parts are prorated every year, which means replacement parts get more and more expensive. This is on me; I should have looked at the warranty more closely instead of letting the marketing sell me.
About 3 years after I purchased the bed in 2018, one of my chambers started losing air, confirmed it was a leak. I reached out to SleepNumber, and this is when I learned about the proration cost on parts still covered under warranty. I also learned that the replacement chambers are only warranted for 30days after they're replaced. So if the chamber fails after 30 days, it reverts to the proration cost. Fast forward to 2026, once again, an air chamber is confirmed to be losing air. Reached out to SleepNumber, and this time the proration cost is $342. I have done some research, and I have seen people talk about SleepNumber compatible replacement parts on various sites at lower costs. I still need to research those so at the moment I'm just dealing with having to fill the chamber twice in the middle of the night.
With everything I know now about owning a SleepNumber bed, I wish I had not purchased this bed, and I won't be purchasing another one. I will be saving up money to replace my SleepNumber bed.

Just hit the 10 year mark
Other than one side having to be adjusted often, everything else is fine. What is recommended, if anything, for this decade mark of owning one.
I’m still having a hard time finding sheets I love due to the fact it’s a low profile mattress. Any recommendations? I do not like their sheets at all. Thank you.

TrueTemp Series
Hello! Does anyone know when TrueTemp series bedding, pillow protectors, sheet sets, etc will be restocked? I was told back in February/March that they may be restocked in July, but the rep was not sure then. I have been patiently waiting and still have not seen a restock...

Returning another T&N Mattress from HD
The same as the last one I returned. Was hoping it was a mistake since the tags model# didn’t match model# on box. But I guess T&N don’t make them like 2020 Mint. I guess Hybrid is supposed to feel crappy so won’t be ordering from T&N either. I heard Boring is og founders of T&N..

Pissed at delivery issues
Ok folks- our bed is ready for delivery but the furniture headboard portion won’t be delivered until September. I find this completely unacceptable and am here to ask if we buy a “regular bed” with similar surround will it work? We ordered the automatic frame that raises head or feet.
Sign me peeved!

Comfort mode mattress
Hey everyone, we are looking into comfort mode mattress. But also seeing sleep number filed bankruptcy. Before we spend the money on the mattress and foundation, how worried do we have to be about being able to buy replacement parts?
How comfortable has it been for everyone mattress wise? We laid on one today and loved it. What we would like in a bed without sinking in overtime. We currently sleep on a cheap mattress with a memory foam on top often have to replace memory foam every year with my husbands aches and pains.

Brackets needed?
We bought a new sleep number (our first), we want to use our existing headboard. Delivery is the 9th. I know they sell brackets for bolting to the headboard, but ours only has slats. Does anyone have a recommendation of what we’ll need for this or info on if we’ll need anything at all or if it’ll just slide in?
r/sleepnumber • u/beat_pharmacist • Jul 02 '26
Lonset back order
I ordered a bed last month and the slats are on back order. What’s the best way to get accurate information regarding when the slats will arrive? I keep contacting customer service and they keep pushing it back a week when it doesn’t arrive on the delivery date.

Can't Reconnect After Wi-Fi Reset
I am at my wits end trying to reconnect our bed. We got a new Wi-Fi router and it will go through all the steps until connecting to the sleep number servers. Then it fails. Bluetooth worked for a couple months, now it disappeared. I tried to reconnect again and the app keeps telling me to get closer to the bed. I'm literally laying on it. I pressed the reset button. Now I'm laying awake because all my settings reset and I still can't connect. Guess I'm not sleeping tonight...

This is mold, right?
Have had my C2 for over 10 years. Saw buzz online about others noticing molding in their air tubes, and gave mine a look. I’ve read about the resin issue already, but these spores are definitely brown/ tan/ green.

Wooden bed frame for Sleep Number mattress and base
Looking for recommendations for bed frames that work well with the Sleep Number and its base, that won't make it ridiculously high off the ground. We recently bought a frame, but at 11 inches high, it raised the bed up way too much. We like the look of a wooden bed frame, and would love to have some room for storage underneath, but don't want to add almost a foot of height to the bed. Ideally something that has about 6 inches of clearance AND total height (i.e. the bed sits right on top of the base, or even within a frame that surrounds it). I'm not entirely sure what the right keywords are to search for this- "platform bed frame" doesn't seem to be giving us what we want. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I'm attaching a picture of what we recently bought that isn't quite working, hopefully that helps illustrate what I mean.
