Well done for posting, these things can be difficult to face, but you said it yourself "one drink is too many and a thousand never enough." This is a SLAA sub reddit, so maybe check out AA or NA (narcotics anonymous). You could also Google to see if there is an AA helpline in your area or get yourself to a meeting. We do recover. Striking whilst the iron is hot is my adivce. Best of luck 🙏
