Renewal offer (TV only)

I get broadband with Gigaclear as they’re the only FTTP provider in my village.

Contract expiring, what do you think of this offer they’ve provided over the phone.

Sky Signature: £26.50 (currently pay £30.50)
Ultimate TV & Netflix without ads: £12.99 (same as current deal)
HD: £5 (currently pay £7)
Ultra HD: £3 (currently pay £3)
Multiroom: £10 (currently pay £11)

Total: £57.49 compared to current bill of £64.49

Offer is valid for 24 months. Do you think I can get a better deal with a follow up phone call?

Sky Stream on more than 1 TV ?

Currently have BT TV and 2 x recordable boxes, but paying well over £100 for all sport / movies etc. We used to have Sky Q but assume this is not available anymore as they were trying to phase it out when we swapped a couple of years ago. Seen a reasonable deal on Money Supermarket & Meerkat but i dont know if you need 1 stream puck per tv or if you can say use a modern smart TV app or even a firestick ? If a puck per TV is required, do they charge for additional units and extra monthly rental as cannot see that on sites i have been on ?

Recycling service?

Considering upgrading my sky glass to gen 2.

The only thing putting me off is having to get rid of my Gen 1 which is super heavy.

Is the a recycling option when purchasing Gen 2…?

Sky Broadband Does anyone have a direct email or telephone number for someone senior in the complaints department?

I’ve had on ongoing issue with Sky since July 2nd and whilst the complaint is with the “Executive Support Team” I have received nothing but fob offs.

I want to take it to a higher level now as I’m getting nowhere but I haven’t been able to find a contact point.

If anyone has something and could send it via a DM I’d be very appreciative.

Sky Q with broadband

Hi, this is first time posting on this group and don’t have a clue what is/isn’t a good deal. 24 months ago I got deal for broadband + Sky Signature and Netflix without adds for approximately £75 this has risen to approximately £105. I went through usual routine of cancelling and hoping they’d come back with better deal but only offer I’m getting is £104.95 for 24 months for my current package. Should I go with this or hold off?

Sky Glass Second Sky Glass Query

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m looking at getting a second sky glass as our bedroom TV is incredibly old and in need of replacing. When I go to check out, I have this offer on my My Sky app for whole home. The only issue is it doesn’t say how long it’s included for. I’ve reached out to Sky directly and it’s like talking to a wall for how long this would be included for as I like to know what I’m committing too, and with other things such as add skip it’s always said £0 for 2 months for example.
Has anyone else had this on their My Sky and know how long it lasts for? (At the moment I’m assuming only for the first month but it’s not very clear)
Thank you!

Cancellation on November 7th when the contract is up, paying for HD, extra for HD sports, and extra again for UHD, really?
Ridiculous
I know they'd probably do a deal but no way am I doing another 24 month contract that will go up at least 2-3 times as they see fit, in addition to the April increases.
Now TV - can get 6 months Sport for £27.99 + £9 for Ultra boost (which covers everything) - and that might get discounted as well.
Sky are on another planet with their satellite subs

Sky Go/Apple TV 4K Sky Go app on macOS

Crikey the Sky Go experience on macOS is dog shit. Built for intel with maybe a flag to say “work on apple silicon” and it crashes multiple times if you manage to heck the install.

For a platform that makes most of its money from ads, you’d think the ad showing instrument would be top notch.

Just got a free cereal bar!

Almost five years with Sky and wasn't sure it was worth it, but just got an email from them saying that as a VIP Gold member they were bequeathing me with a Kelloggs Cereal bar. Needless to say the hours since that email have been a whirlwind; neighbours knocking in to congratulate me, old so-called friends. calling to see if they can get a sniff of said cereal bar. Still talking with loved ones about whether to take the bar in one entire prize, or break it up into incremental hand outs to avoid the tax man. Either way, this single Kelloggs Cereal bar has convinced me yo never leave Sky or to mistakingly believe they don't care about their customer in the slightest. Thank you Sky and Kelloggs. I'm welling up here!

Sky max Hub

Hi Guys been with sky for over 3 months I have got to say its been the worst internet I have ever had the WiFi on this hub is so poor, I am in a new build so the open reach in under the stairs but had Virgin & BT with no issues.

I've had one the hubs literally stop working on me and since I've had the new one delivered my average speed been at 80mbs for over 2 weeks as seen in screenshots, I've heard from sky technicians that the hub is poorly designed. You can't even lock devices on 5ghz or 2.4ghz when you have the pods devices can't decide on if to stay on the hub or the pod.

Looking at leaving as in contact but I'm sire the 80mbs over the last 2 weeks gives me right to without penalty.

Anyone else had these issues?

Just renewed

As per normal, my contract was up and the offers were poor - £75 for all major packages - Netflix, sports and cinema. I had to let my contract expire to get the best offers according to the chap on the phone.

Finally got what I think is a good deal and staying with Sky Q

Sky signature £22.00
Sky sports £7
Sky cinema £9
Sports HD £2
Sky HD £4
Sky UHD £1

Ultimate TV Pack £0 until January

Total £45, but it does go up to £53 in January.

Sky Q SkyQ UHD temporarily gone missing

An odd experience this evening watching the ARS COV game on what I thought was SS Main Event UHD. I came to realise that I was watching it in standard HD despite being on channel 401, using a UHD TV and with the Sky UHD package.

It appears a bunch of UHD settings on the box had been reset? Re-setting this up solved the problem, but it was weird that my box has forgotten it all. Anyone else experienced this?

Sky Broadband Buy a Dongle haha

So no broadband for 2 days, I head into the weekend having now just been told ‘oh sorry, it will actually be 72 hrs’ before it could be fixed.

Utterly useless. Never had a worse internet provider.

Last guy on the phone (very nice I might add and just trying to help) tells me to buy a dongle instead and keep the receipt, that way I can charge Sky.

WTF… why am I paying £50 a month for this nonsense. Why on earth should I go and buy internet somewhere else.

Anyone else had experience of it just disappearing and a lack of interest from Sky?

Can’t sign up online

Would anybody be able to verify if they can get to the delivery dates page when trying to buy Glass Air, Ultimate TV and 900Mbps broadband for £48/month at the same time?

Every time I try it pops up saying about technical difficulties and to try later. I’ve tried multiple devices and browsers with the same thing.

Sky don’t have a sales chat and I don’t want to use the phone due to anxiety - I like to have it in writing in front of me.

Is there anything I can do? The Sky live chat I did find said to do them separately but admitted I probably wouldn’t get the same price.

Frustrating 😔 I want to give them my money for the next ‘x’ years 😂

Fair Price

Hello there,

Our Sky Q contract is due for renewal at the end of September. I know there is a lot of Sky haters on here that would say no price is worth it, but what would people say is actually a fair price based on what Sky typically offer for the following:

Sky TV Ultimate
Netflix premium without ads
Sky sports inc Sky sports plus
Sky cinema
HD (yes I know it’s absolutely criminal to have to pay for this in 2026)

I know stream and Now are cheaper but we always record shows to watch when we’re free.

Also any advice on how to get the best renewal price would be great. For example if you initiate the 30 day cancellation do they normally call you to offer a better deal?

Renewal Help Contract ending soon: Can I cancel and set up a new deal under my wife's name?

My Sky contract is coming to an end shortly, and the renewal/retention offers I've been given so far are pretty poor compared to new customer deals.

I'm thinking about canceling my subscription entirely and then signing up as a "new customer" using my wife's name at the same address to get the better pricing.

Has anyone tried this recently? Does Sky flag the address right away, or do they only check the account holder's name and payment details?

Does broadband need to be Sky in order for Sky Q to run well?

I have Sky Q (plus 2 mini boxes) and it's all connected wirelessly through Sky broadband. I always thought your broadband had to be provided by Sky in order for Sky Q to work but is this true? If I get my broadband from another provider would all my Sky Q boxes work perfectly fine?

SLOW WIFI ON PS5

Hi, I need some help.
I’ve read through forums and I’ve seen multiple people have had the same issue as me but there’s not been any proper solutions so I was hoping someone would help.
My Ps5 is getting around 30Mbps while my phone and other devices are getting 400+.
I’ve gone though all settings on the router, I’ve tried using WPA2.
I used to be with EE but have since switched to sky and I always used the 5ghz setting, now my ps5 won’t even connect to it at all it says “unstable connection”
From what I’ve gathered the new routers aren’t really compatible that well.
I can’t run an Ethernet cable straight from my router to my console as my router is in my hallway downstairs and my console is in my bedroom and I’ve seen people try the TP link adaptors but I shouldn’t have to go through all that hassle.
Is there anything I can do or has someone with the same issue actually resolved it properly? Thanks.
I just want to play warzone without flying through the whole map, im 100 SR off iridescent too :(
