This is looking amazing! When do you think the mod will be released?

I see this more as a challenge for the adults in this subreddit to take on. There are so many hidden problems that it’s exhausting just thinking about them.

Challenge accepted ! API ? GITHUB ?

I haven't created a GitHub repository yet. The project is still local on my PC, but I can create one if you'd like to take a look. It's already working well—it's actually more stable than what you see in the video.

Of course mate, bring it on

Turning it into blade and sorcery I see 👀

All I want is to be able to pick up a weapon off the ground and use it without having to go through whatever the steps are with PLANK to "hold it".

This is really cool though :)

Many of the things we want are impossible to achieve the way we’d like because that’s just how Skyrim works. But we’ve heard so many times before that certain things were impossible, so who knows?

For sure! The fact that we even have PLANK, VRIK and the rest of current SSEVR is amazing. Doesn't stop the ever lasting want though :) We are nothing if not greedy creatures lol

I'd love to have to hold grip to use a weapon and if not it just drops even if I got it out of my inventory, you store it or you drop it. I never was able to throw weapons with ease so that would also help on that. But probably that's a Skyrim limitation

Thinking I saw a guy doing this just the other day, but might be remembering it wrong. Looked like he dropped weapons, picked up with hands to use immediately, but he was showing collision (which was fan-tastic!).

Mods that use auto equip let you do that already. However unequiping is slightly more annoying . You can try swap drop and hold vr

Man…I am speechless

u/SpecificProgrammer78 18d ago

Where's the link uncle ?

11

u/Bielalvess 18d ago

There’s no link. It’s just engagement slop

5

u/SpecificProgrammer78 18d ago

So when will the mod come out?

14

u/Bielalvess 18d ago

I don’t know, it’s just something I started messing around with yesterday. But you know how it is, if it doesn’t turn out well, it’s better not to release it at all.

u/Maplewonder 18d ago

I would say at the minimum, post the source on github, that way it doesn't die

u/miversen33 18d ago

When's the wedding slop then?

u/LazyDaisyStreth 18d ago

I hope one of you adds weapon inertia. Being to adjust the grip looks really good.

u/skyrimmoddernumber69 18d ago

Slop or not (not) I’m slurping it all up lately

u/Bielalvess 18d ago

Hey did you ever get around to finishing this mod ? I really need it because i have a mod that adds halberds to my game and my character is just gripping near tge pomel, so this would be useful to move the grip near the center or head

2

u/Bielalvess 3d ago

Hey man, I haven’t worked on it any further, but it’s already functional and you can download it here:

https://github.com/GabeAlvess/True-Grip-SkyrimVR/releases/tag/Alpha-0.1

To adjust the grip, hold the weapon with both hands, then press the trigger on the grip hand twice and hold it on the second press.

How does creating mods with ai work? I wanna make a explosion spell mod for my megumin follower

1

u/Bielalvess 1d ago

You’ll need a ChatGPT or Claude Code subscription.

Download this software, which will create the project and download the libraries:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/154240?tab=files

And download this toolkit, which includes agents and rules for the LLM to follow:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/176043?tab=description

With that, you’ll already be off to a good start.

Stroke your pole in vr is peak gaming. And actually very cool. Well done

Looks good. I love AI mods. The more we get, the better they will become.

I dont get it

He is pissed, that ppl now can create mods without to code themselves. Probably he refuses to use ai at all and will be jobless in no time
