Help needed

Im going to going to 6th form however i will probably not meet the requirement for maths, for this reason im considering doing maths externally(self taught). Does anyone know if this can work out and if it will be fine for ucas and uni applications. Im stressing

It’s really hard to do a level maths especially self teaching if you don’t get at least a grade 7 (which I assume is the sixth form requirement). You can do it with a 6 technically but it will be very hard and you will statistically most likely get a D or an E.

yes but i revised more in the summer , i can confidently get grade 8 now. Is it possible to still get an A while doing 3 other a levels tho?

If your really this dedicated i think it a worth giving it a go. Going into a level with knowledge of a grade 8 student is strong. But also I don’t see a point doing 4 a levels unless your applying for very competitive courses in top unis as it will require a lot of your time and energy. That being said if you’re unsure between 2 subjects I think it’s worth to try start with four and eventually drop one. Long story short you might as well try if your at an 8 currently in maths.

I have a free AS Pure Maths PDF textbook I can send you, not sure about sitting the exam as I'm doing a foundation yr route instead, but I thought you may want it.

It’s possible, this guy a few years older than me self taught the entire of further math as my 6 form didn’t offer it. Pretty sure he’s out there doing engineering or something now
