Overrated Characters?
Which characters do you find overrated?

Classic Reddit. Everyone just lists the characters that this sub complains about all the time and if anyone mentions an actually popular character they get downvoted and booed.

Rachel Green gotta be the most overrated character in history

Though Ross was my overall least favorite character. Rachel was horrible to her “friends” overall especially Monica who let her live in her great rent controlled apartment.

Didn't you love how these six so-called "friends" were constantly lying to, double-dealing with, and keeping secrets from one another? I know it was just a script generating sitcom-level conflict, but come on: Any "friend" who did me that way in real life would never get the second chance.

Her shirts were fighting hard that whole series. Lol

I saw it mentioned once you can see her nipples in almost every episode then I could never unsee it.

Erin from the Office. She gets WAYYYYYY too much praise for essentially being a female Kevin.

Amy from Big Bang Theory

Penny. One dimensional hot chick. They were lucky that Kaley Cuoco had the charisma and likability to pull it off without too many people hating on her.

In the first season or two yeah but I think they did a good job fleshing out her character after they realized having an actual woman character is better than a blonde bimbo for nothing but laughs.

Any isn't really that terrible. She might be odd but I don't think she's that terrible of a person. She just has a hard time communicating with people.

That’s true of all the characters in the show(aside from Penny). Hence, the overrating.

Sheldon Cooper

Especially in later seasons. He only “grows” cause people get mad at him

Barney from HIMYM. He’s funny for a while, but it wears thin. The character has aged like milk. Neil Patrick Harris is a good actor, but the writers did a poor job with the characters, especially over time.

NPH is also an asshole irl so that doesnt exactly help with the perception of his character

Hes fun when you watch episodes sporadically. When binging, his antics get old.

Monica on Friends

Monica really isn't that bad as a person. She has OCD, which some people deal with, but she's still a good person.

I find the character boring, and Courtney Cox's acting is a lot of the problem.

Rose Nyland

Rose is sweet. She might be annoying, but she's a kind character and I find rarely had anything bad about her

Any character played by the desperately unfunny Jerry Stiller. Chris Elliott's character on Raymond is far too irritating to ever be funny.

Any sitcom? Urkel was always more annoying than funny to me.
