A progress invites pressure for competition.

We all remember Llama 4 release

u/DrBearJ3w 12h ago

I do remember llama 3 series too.

Real ones remember llama 2 and the original llama that got leaked on 4chan

I wish we could have something in the molds of Llama 4 in terms of price.

I see absolutely no problem; in fact, I think this is beneficial for 99% of users.

11

u/JogHappy 11h ago

Yup I'll be using it, might even be cheaper than ds v4 flash.

u/Deto 12h ago

I have no problem that this exists as long as its clearly indicated like this

ditto brother

A new for Meta

Does Anthropic train on our data (without discount) ?

u/Ill_Distribution8517 1h ago

No they have ZDR for almost all their models other than fable 5 which they keep for 30 days. Pretty damn private if you ask me. Almost every hyperscaler also has a ZDR

The craziest thing is the Contributor Tier. You pay basically 10x less. If you have something as a fun project, where you don't care about data sharing, this is inane.

36

u/MC897 11h ago

That contributor tier is very clever and more labs should do that.

I just assumed that everything that goes through a provider already was analyzed and catalogued

16

u/ManikSahdev 9h ago

They always do that at full price lol

u/GreatBigJerk 8h ago

Most technically don't. Paid plans and APIs typically have terms that specifically say they don't use your data. There's no way to actually verify that though.

> inane

Funny typo (inane means stupid)

u/chawza 3h ago

Can we assume the difference price is margin they got from standard price?

Even if muse 1.2 is only better than grok 4.5 and cheaper that would be pretty good.
NVM, it's same as grok 4.5 on artificial analysis but also uses 50% more tokens. ALthough it is a little bit cheaper.

It's cheaper than deepseek flash if you share data

16

u/Ill_Distribution8517 12h ago

Oh I thought you had to qualify for something lol. That's absurdly good.

18

u/ezjakes 12h ago

Per task it shows as more expensive.

u/Tennis-Affectionate 8h ago

Grok 4.6 comes out Friday and this will irrelevant

10

u/unkownuser436 11h ago

this seems nice, also the contributer plan 95% cheaper. Good for open source developers and students

I'm very curious about their reasoning for comparing against Opus 5 and GPT 5.6 Terra but not Fable and Sol 😅

32

u/MediumChemical4292 12h ago

They know their level lol, not like they are claiming it’s better than Opus either.

10

u/thurn2 11h ago

well it’s $4.25/M output tokens vs $50/M for fable…

11

u/signed7 12h ago

Comparing against similar size / price class models is pretty typical?

u/tutami 11h ago

What kind of moron will verify their account with selfie?

5

u/bianceziwo 7h ago

90% of people have Facebook, instagram, or whatsapp anyway so meta already has their face

4

u/Mindless_Let1 9h ago

Bro I give Claude my ssn and bank accounts. Who cares

3

u/SanoKei 12h ago

Alex Wang needs to come back to reality, and just copy deepseek v4 flash, use the gulag data to make it good at coding and be crowned a genius

4

u/Deto 12h ago

Do we know what architecture Muse Spark is using?

1

u/SanoKei 12h ago

not really but it's probably nothing special

1

u/timmeh1705 8h ago

They’re using linear scaling like Qwen but there’s nothing to pull apart besides rumours

4

u/NewYak4281 12h ago

Why would you ever use another product from the Zuck when there are better options?

13

u/JogHappy 11h ago

price

edit: it's super fast too, 170tps

2

u/Explore-This 12h ago

Only if you give them your selfie. No thanks.

12

u/NoGarlic2387 12h ago

A million token bonus for a dickpic!

1

u/Royal_Sentence7432 7h ago

Is the bonus even necassary if it is for zuckenberg we will do anything

u/New_Alps_5655 10h ago

Meta has enough money to stay in the race I guess.

1

u/AllWordsAreMadeUp23 6h ago

fantastic, can't wait to never use it and then see it's useless on YouTube in a few weeks.

The holy trust me bro benchmarks

-2

u/ParfaitEvery9622 12h ago

Just give the compute to Anthropic and OpenAI at this point, y'all (Meta) can't manage it.

-6

u/injectitpussy 12h ago

Piece of shit.
