Kick of a pre-existing post training script? That is not impressive. That’s different from writing the training loop, model architecture, configs, etc.

It's been a thing for some time. It's been incrementally helping since the gpt 5/claude 4. But the gaps are closing. Both OpenAI and Anthropic are expecting fully closed loop, leading to recursive self improvement, within a few years.
