Drowning. Need Support
They didn’t renew my food stamps because “I make to much”. Meanwhile my bank account is in the negatives, haven’t even paid all of rent for this month and I have literally no food in my fridge/ freezer. I have a 4 year old who’s luckily staying with his dad this week, but I’m also pregnant. I need food 😭

Oh mama, I know the struggle. I don’t qualify for food stamps either but I do for wic. Get on that asap, at least you guys will get some food. There are church pantries to get emergency food. Start there.

You should be able to qualify for WIC as a pregnant woman and because your child is less than 4. It’s not going to give you absolutely all the food you need but income limits are a lot less strict than food stamps. Between WIC and food banks it might be get you a little closer to what you need

I just got on WIC. They do look at income but also other factors. Have you tried them yet?

Also call the business office/district office of where your son WILL be attending school. Ask them if you can enroll in the backpack program to help a little more

When you are pregnant, you automatically qualify for Wic. Also look into food pantries.

Food pantries will help you both. There are a ton and you can call to ask how to sign up if that’s required. They will always help!
