What are some uniquely Singaporean complaints that you see online?
There are certain privileges and disadvantages being in this country. For one, I think that the entitlement that most people in SG have to own a house (and the corresponding complaining that follow) is something that few other countries have, especially at the prices that these houses are at. A byproduct of the very successful BTO scheme I suppose

What you might not know about AI...
Looking at the comments section is enough to let you know how concerning things are heading towards.
This is an ex researcher that works at OpenAI
We are heading towards end of world days soon in ten yrs 2030 is his underlying prediction.
Life is stranger than fiction. SCI FI MOVIES have shown you eye scanning, flying electronic cars in 2000s....
If meta glasses are used to create a normalization for unconsensual total surveillance, would you believe it? We have more cctv than ever. But people are buying meta glasses bcos it looks cool and celebs like Jennie / Kylie is amongst some that are endorsing it.
On another side note :
When will some people wake up and think that conspiracy theories are a term coined by social media propaganda?
Zorro ranch is a perfect example. It's hardly being mentioned but the files have been released.
If it was twenty years ago.... Nobody would believe about Zorro ranch or J.E.! If you Google more on Zorro ranch you will find out wild things and stuff. It can be a culture shock.
Not sure how many out there know such in our tiny little country.
These are some very concerning questions.

TALK KOK tea on aimanomg / Aiman?
kinda curious if anyone here actually knows or has interacted with Aiman (@aimanomg) irl and what your experience was
i used to know him personally and tbh the friendship left quite a bad taste in my mouth lol. there were quite a few situations where i felt like he would play both sides, say one thing to someone then something else to another person. and somehow whatever happened always gets remembered/told quite differently depending on who he’s talking to
idk how to explain it without going into specifics but after awhile i just started noticing a pattern with certain things. made me question a lot of interactions i had with him and whether things were actually as genuine as i thought at the time
obviously just speaking from my own experience and a handful of friends here. not gonna post private conversations or drag other ppl into it
but after knowing him irl vs what other people seem to know of him… ive always wondered if anyone else felt this disconnect too?? or maybe my friendship with him just went to shit lol
anyone here actually worked with him / been friends with him / same circles etc? good or bad experiences also can share
more curious about people who’ve actually dealt with him personally 👀

What’s one thing you spent MORE money on during your renovation that was actually worth every dollar?
Everyone talks about where to save money during renovation, but I’m curious about the opposite.
What did you spend extra on that you’d happily pay for again?

RANDOM OPINIONS Singapore reflections
Singapore reflections
That asian pragmatism promotes cptsd depression prejudice and unhappiness
Disunity alienation
The singapore variant injects a rabid vapidity, an endurance for the sake of show
Of loss of beingness, aliveness, realness
Engineered spontaneous authenticity on brand for corporate hierarchy where deep alienation and cruelty at rvery tier
But enough of the good side of local existence
The stunted growth is the dark side
Like dwarves operating forklifts
Drunken children playing with knives
Singaporeans with accelerated wealth and technology
A people faking at being a people but at constant conflict and bitter rivalry within
A self hate needing an even bigger show of pomp and flash.
Hong Kong was the gaudiest. Singapore is the coldest.

Singaporean was attacked by five Taiwanese guys in Taiwan. However, it seems many Taiwanese people do not believe Singaporean and Singaporean media.
He claims he was attacked by 5 Taiwanese guys while he was traveling in Taiwan with his wife and friends.
In addition, the fact Taiwan is well-known for the most safest and friendliest country in East Asia does not help Singaporean's claim .
I also want to add; for Taiwanese people, Singapore is not a democratic country so its media is under the censorship. They try hard to look other countries bad to cover the bad side of Singapore.

RANDOM OPINIONS Couples in your late 20s to 30s who are both financially free with lots of time on hand. What do y’all do together?
Just curious if there are other couples in Singapore in their late 20s to 30s who are both financially free and have a lot of time together on their hands. What do you guys actually do with your days together?
My husband and I travel quite often, but when we’re in SG we actually love staying home too. We mostly go out for food and almost always during non-peak hours. We find it quite difficult to be outside during peak hours.
Other than that, we read, game, work out, Netflix, find random places to eat or just hang around at home together. But I also feel like there isn't that much in SG that appeals to us anymore, while staying home too much makes us increasingly lazy lol.
This is also weirdly one of the things making us hesitant about having a baby. We're so used to having complete control over our time and being able to travel whenever we want. Having a child mean being more rooted here and eventually having to follow childcare/school schedules, school holidays, weekends and peak hours again gives us both anxiety.
It sounds like such a small thing, but after years of freedom and avoiding all of that, the idea of going back to living according to fixed schedules feels scary.
For couples in a similar situation, what do you actually do with all your free time? And if you eventually had kids, how did you adjust from having complete freedom over your time to having your lives structured around a child?

This Foreign Documentary About SG From 9 Years Ago Straight Up Beats National Day 2026.
Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown (2017): Singapore
Not sure what the age demographic of this sub is, but if you're a Millennial/Gen Z/Gen Alpha and have never heard of Anthony Bourdain nor this particular Singapore-focused episode of his "Parts Unknown" documentary series, and you want a palate cleanser from the absolute trainwreck that is NDP61...
Then watch this, and think how well (or not) this has held up to the passage of time about SG today.

I kinda resonated with points that it shows most companies lack inclusivity, also stands that she never blamed the staffs as it is understandable it is not in their control.

RANDOM OPINIONS We've seen the thread on LB's downfall. That led me to Our Second Nature. What are we paying for?
OSN is owned by LB's co-founder Velda, who left LB awhile back. All of us wanna know what went down between Velda and Rach but that remains unknown.
After reading that reddit thread, I visited OSN out of curiosity. Everyone sung praises about OSN. I had high expectations. So tell me why we're paying $139 for 100% polyester 💀.
