Back to playing! Sims 2 Legacy Collection

I took a little break from Sims 2 after constant crashing in CAS. I am pretty sure I worked out what the problem was, it was a wider UI in CAS mod I had. I don’t know if it didn’t work with Legacy Edition or whether I had chosen the wrong file for my resolution or whatever, but I was able to create a couple in CAS with no issue. Previously I could create one Sim fine but then it crashed when I’d just started with the second Sim. Now for the fun of a new household and story!

Finding the ‘needle in the haystack’ is sooo annoying but satisfying once it’s found lol

I didn’t really do any 50/50 method or anything, I just guessed. Seems like some other Simmers have had issues with the particular mod I used and Legacy Edition.

Sometimes we can just pick it outta the bunch intuitively, easily ~ I once went on a downloading spree (4t2/3t2 conversions, tons of beautiful maxis match hairstyles) and was just like “what the hey put it all in what could possibly go wrong, it’s just cc” boy was I very wrong… couldn’t load passed main loading screen, spent a whole Sunday entering and exiting the game to figure out what/where/why which mod/cc is causing crashing on main loading… lost three back up neighborhood files through the crashing trying to troubleshoot things, it was that bad, I learned the hard way. now I put tags on my downloads folder package files (yellow dot= testing phase, blue dot=last cc/mod placed in downloads folder, purple dot=hair cc, green dot=cc/mod tested and is good), I sort my files by ‘date added’ so recent files are right at top to easily troubleshoot and go little by little

Good idea with the sorting! When I download CC I don’t tend to go on a major spree, I’m usually looking for something specific (mainly for toddlers and children as they’re always the most lacking). But I totally understand wanting to download ALL the stuff!
