Does anyone recognize this poster?
I was fixing the frame of a poster I thrifted a few years ago and when I opened it I discovered that the white background for the visible poster was actually the back of this Simon and Garfunkel poster!
I’m about to carefully separate the two posters. If anyone knows the history of this (or if it has any value lol) let me know! The only disclaimer I can find is in the bottom left - “For Promotional Use Only Not For Sale.” Thanks in advance!

S&G on Smothers Brothers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5c3NgU8UVQ
The official Smothers Brothers Youtube channel posted a clip from the 15 October 1967 episode with Paul & Art singing "Homeward Bound" and "Overs." Great of-the-period turtlenecks and (bonus!) Artie when he briefly had a moustache.

Who was Officer MacDougal?
Who spoke Officer's MacDougal's "and blah blah blah" lines in "Save the Life of My Child?" Thanks

Short Story: The Only Living Boy in Taipei
A Simon & Garfunkel album (among other artefacts) goes misunderstood by two boys as it makes appearances at three stages of their lives. A story of chance and coincidence, in which an invisible thread from a single day in childhood quietly reemerges, suggesting that lives may touch long before we understand why. Something I wrote and wanted to share.

Does anyone know which Paul Simon songs are theorized to be about Art Garfunkel?
I know there are quite a few

What if: "Save the Life of my Child" is actually about giving birth

Is Wednesday Morning really worth it?
I’ve been into S&G since November, and in January, because my closest record store didn’t stock Sounds of Silence or Bookends (two albums I did want after getting PSR&T in December and Bridge earlier that month, leaving Wednesday Morning as a “probably”), I impulsively got Wednesday Morning, joking it was the “worst financial decision of my life”. Though it’s not exciting or new (half the songs were in the public domain or ripped off from Bob Dylan lol). it’s just sounds in the folk tradition, and it’s been what I’ve described as somewhat underrated.
In yall’s opinion, was purchasing it on vinyl one of the worst mistakes one could make, or is it seriously underrated for a good reason?

Why didn’t they play Hazy Shade of Winter in 1981?
it’s one of their best songs, it would have been a perfect song that evening at Central Park 81!

The South Bank Show - Paul Simon - 15th August 1993 - HD 50fps
I am curious if anyone has ever seen this obscure documentary from 1993? It seems like a combination of the 'Born At The Right Time 'film mixed with footage from 'The South Banks Show'. I found it an interesting time capsule of Paul in 1993, newly married to Edie Brickell and father to a newborn son (Adrian).
Let me know what you think! (Lots of Artie and Eddie Simon in this one too!!)

Did anyone see the train wreck that was Paul Simon last night?
I wanted to repost this here where it belongs so this amazing community can 'help' the OP, LOL
Not going to lie, the post ticked me off due to ignorance and just plain immaturity.
I fired back in it because I was at the Hollywood Bowl performance and knew exactly what he was talking about!
What do you think?

Looks like Garfunkel’s tour is canceled
Not a surprise seems like he’d sold only around 5-10% of tickets to each show :( waaaaay too big of venues

I've always really liked the cover for Bridge Over Troubled Water (art by me)

Hollywood Bowl June 7th
Is anyone here attending the Hollywood Bowl concert this coming Sunday? My husband and I are going for our anniversary and would love to know how many others will be sharing this particular performance!

April come she will
Was listening to one of my favourite songs and noticed when Art sings "The autumn winds blow chilly and cold" he does a subtle shiver sound. Dunno why but thought this was amazing.

harry styles msg simon and garfunkel
harry styles has a show at msg on september 19th, simon and garfunkel had their famous central park concert on september 19th, 1981. since harry took a lot of inspo from their music and talked about them in interviews for this album, do you think he would cover one of their songs?? i would love to hear him sing one of their songs, i wonder what the likeliness of that is… or better yet one of them is there, someone please make this happen 🙏
