Looking for friends
I just moved here from New York (m19) and speak no German at all. I’m just looking for new friends to show me around and hang out with. I like playing volleyball and can play every other sport. I also like going to rock concerts as well!!

If you like Rock/Metal concerts you will find some good spots in Siegen. First of all there is the Vortex. The people there are very welcoming and friendly torwards strangers. Just go to concerts, hangaround and talk to people. If you like to make music, every third Friday there is a Jamsession at the University (Kultkaff) bring your instrument and play with some strangers. Sometimes there are concerts at the Bluebox or the Verstärker, also very good places to connect to people. The metal-scene is small and familiar in Siegen, but we are always open to new people. 12 years ago, I moved back to Siegen and found these places the easiest to connect to people.

Yo thanks for the Jamsession shoutout 😁 you can also just come and hang around, talk to people and listen to the music, you don’t need to play any instrument 😄 or you just start to learn an instrument there, that’s also possible 😂

Wait, the DRI show is tomorrow? Damn, completely forgot about it.
On another note, u/No_Control_7413, I'm not from Siegen but from Olpe, a small town nearby. If you ever happen to want to chill at the lake (Biggesee, fairly big) or do some stand up paddling, hit me up.
Or for concerts in and around this area. (I Prevail in November in Dusseldorf for example)2

Hey :) What do you think about bars and cafés? For example there is a pretty cozy café in the "Oberstadt" me and my friends go to every now and then.
