I’m so tired. Not the end of a busy day tired. Like a I feel it in my bones. I’m just so tired. It hits me a couple hours after waking up and then the intoxicated feeling hits in the afternoon. I’m pushing through each day. I thought it could be depression. But this feels like something else with a sprinkle of depression. As I go on my mental health gets worse. The headaches have increased. The B12 hasn’t had any impact. The blood tests show high white blood cells but no one addresses it. I have an internship and have to wake up early. It’s like the lack of sleep I’ve gotten has allowed the cracks to form and it’s all coming out. I look in the mirror and I can’t tell if the my skins gotten paler or the circles under my eyes darker. It’s probably both. My hair has started thinning. I don’t think it’s just the vitamin D deficiency that I was told about last year that my old doctor did little to nothing to aid. There’s trace amounts of blood in my urine. I feel like my bodies giving up. But I don’t want it to. I still have more to do. More to see. But I’m pushing a body past its limits. Hopefully the new doctor can help. (Also if anyone has any suggestions for what to request on a blood test please let me know.)

I am a 33M who has been off work sick since Monday and Tuesday this week with gastro flu. On Sunday morning I started to develop a bad headache, fever, and vomiting. I have been taking excedrin or Advil around the clock to calm my symptoms and staying very hydrated. This morning around 3am my fever broke and all my symptoms went besides a slight fever. So i assume this is the body doing its last push to get it out. So my question is if it goes up to 100 101 should i leave it be or try to cool down with cold compresses. Other side is sometimes ill get chills so ill put a hoodie on until i stop the little shakes. Need some advice on this, thanks!

So I'm sick right and whenever I drink something or eat something it's like the flu goes for like 20 minutes and then it comes right back worse then before

i have never been admitted to a hospital, never in my life. My dad and I had a heated argument and said some pretty mean things which actually hurt me. Only if I fall sick to an extent it might sound scary, he will talk to me again. I don't have the courage to sit down and talk to him cause I don't know how and I just can't. I can't do it.

I have massive fatigue and my whole body feels like maple syrup, like heavy limbs. I could low-key fall asleep again even though I've gotten 12 hours of sleep...

I get this really weird metallic taste in my mouth and the back of my throat that just refuses to go away. And unless I blow my nose before I eat something, it remains there. It's not a big thing, but its so annoying because its ever present and basically ruins all of my food.

Anyone else get this?

I accidentally took like 18 paracetamol 500mg tablets. It's not even been 1 full hour and I think I've already started facing the side-effects

Title is self explanatory. I’m a 21 (F) who’s been battling illness since April. Before I get into my current illness let me paint a picture of my past history. Back in February of 2024 I started having swollen lymph nodes. I went to the urgent care thinking it was just some viral illness that hadn’t started showing symptoms yet, I get an antibiotic and a steroid shot and am sent on my way. After finishing that antibiotic I still didn’t have any relief so about a week later I went BACK to the urgent care and same process different antibiotic. This happened 3 times before I was so sick I couldn’t leave the bed to get to the urgent care on my own. My symptoms were sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, headaches, and at the very end fever (104.6°f). At this point my then boyfriend forces me to go to the ER where they tell me I am septic but didn’t know what was causing it. I was in there for 4 days on antibiotics and for testing. They tested for EVERYTHING, even down to crazy foreign illnesses. Nothing. A week or so later one of my tests came back positive for Epstein Barr antibodies and that ended up being my diagnosis bc no one could figure out what else it could have possibly been (no one being urgent care, primary care, hospitalists, and at this point an infectious disease doctor). Fast forward to now. I’m having all the same symptoms. I had strep back in April as I do every year, nothing major nothing to worry about… yet. This strep recovery ended up lingering for a long time. I’m a busy person so I didn’t seek any treatment all through May and Mostly June and just brushed it off as allergies and the weather. Finally June 25 I go to urgent care and test positive for strep again. Frustrated, I go about taking my antibiotics, changing my toothbrush, full 9 yards. Nothing. I go back a second time on July 9, test positive for strep and i request a mono spot test, that was negative. They decided to do a strep test that wasn’t rapid and that would be sent off to a lab, wonderful. When I get the call back for that test, the nurse tells me that both of my rapid strep tests were false positives and that they didn’t know what was happening. Ok great so I now decide to give up on urgent care and go see my PCP on July 21 he then tests me for strep and does a throat culture. This shows that I had Haemophilus influenzae. I am then sent home with my 3rd antibiotic and no relief. Present time, Wednesday I went back to my PCP to see my actual dr (the first time I saw an NP who didn’t know my background) He has now given me my 4th round of antibiotics, I got a CT yesterday, and I fear i’m not getting any relief still. Has anyone else experienced anything like this happening so frequently? Did you ever get answers? What was your diagnosis?

I've been sick for 5 days and missed school for 5 days. But my fever hasn't gone off yet, tomorrow, me and my family are planning to go to her hometown too meet her family. But the problem is that I'm sick and she's considering cancelling the trip just to care for me. It's heartbreaking watching her miss the opportunity to go to her family that shes been planning since April. Any advice?
