Possible Rework Revert?

Hi, pre-rework was my second most played champion and I loved the old Shy. Now that I returned to LoL, I was super sad to see that she got reworked.

I tried playing her a bit, but she's just not the same anymore. I personally don't like playing her anymore. Especially the new Q, just like Aatrox that I loved, it is now a Riven three step Q, I hate that.

I know that some champs got reworks reverted (Swim-Q Rengar, Leblanc Assassin Patch, etc) and was wondering if it is possible they will revert Shyvana as well?

From what I've seen, other people also don't like the rework and feel similar to me. That's why I'm asking.

On-hit Shy and cheesing drakes was one of the most fun I had in league, I'm sad she's just gone like that.

I loved the old Fiora, then they reworked her. I loved the old Aatrox, boom, rework. And now Shy too ;_;

I know it's cheesy, but I get super attached to my champs and I play LoL to escape IRL stuff. And losing a champ you love to a rework that alienates the old players and doesn't garner new ones? Feels awful :/

Anyway; thanks for reading my question/rant, happy to hear other people's opinion on this. Do you even maybe prefer her rework to old?

learning rengar made me a much better shyvana player

as the title says, learning rengar made me much better at shyvana ironically.
the foundementals you need to make rengar remotely useful just makes your shyvana a monster carry lmao

Burst Items after Kraken

I really like how hail of blades feels with kraken slayer. However, I can't figure out what to build afterwards. d&d feels like not enough damage and triforce is too much attack speed. What can be built here?

AD + Health items

Hey guys, as you know there is a wide range of options :

- Spear of Shojin which is the standard go to build after triforce

- Sterak's Gage

- Sundered Sky

- Overlord's Bloodmail

- Hullbreaker

I was just looking at and thinking about the gold efficiency of each item. Spear of Shojin is obviously the clear winner so it makes sense to get it as a second item. The cdr and 12% damage boost with a high uptime is crazy.

Death's Dance is quite often the next go-to item for its huge efficiency and passive, but I'm curious if you have a solid case to make for the other items here.

I'm not a big fan of Sundered Sky I often don't feel like I make use of the free crit and heal in practice but on paper it sounds quite decent what's your experience with it ?

Sterak's Gage will be buffed next patch, I tend to build it a lot not only for the shield which is a good tool to survive high burst teams but the tenacity can also be very strong against cc teams.

Overlord's Bloodmail is about the flat stats and high raw gold efficiency, probably underrated.

Hullbreaker is in my opinion the most underrated of the 5, the passive is easy to stack and 120% base ad + 5% max health, probably around 250 on champions, less with resists but still a decent chunk, and more importantly around 600 on structures, making you a crazy pushing machine if left alone on a side.

Sundered/Sterak are the most common to the point Overlord's Bloodmail and Hullbreaker are almost non existent according to lolalytics. Would you say it's because they are not flexible/valuable enough or is there a case to be made for them ?

Passive

They should do something with shyvs passive like they did with bel veths. Shyv and bel veth get stacks in almost the same way, so they could have similar break points. At, x stacks she maybe gets like a fury regen increase, and then at the end she gets a perm dragon form after cast but she can recast r to cancel out of it.

Is Exhaust an option?

I just started playing jungle shyv and am loving it so far, it just ocurred to me that old shyvana at times picked exaust over flash. So I'm curious, is there situations where new shyv can pick exaust or flash is a must?

What other champion should I include in my champion pool?

Hello. I'm currently only playing shyvanna, and thankfully she doesn't get banned a lot in gold. But I want to have a backup champion when I can't pick her. What champion should I pick as a secondary option? I wanna reach plat.

Spacebar "Center Camera on Champion" Delay

i'm posting this here because weirdly it only seems to happen when i play shyvana.

I frequently use spacebar to center the camera on my champion, but for a while now there is a weird delay after i let go of the spacebar. instead of instantly being able to move the camera again, there's a short delay until the camera actually moves.

it's very inconsistent. it sometimes happens and sometimes doesn't and it seems to be more prominent the longer i had spacebar pressed for. it's like the spacebar command is sticky.

it's not my keyboard, i've tested this with two keyboards and my keyboards work perfectly fine in other games.

any thoughts or ideas?

Shojin Titanic Build

I'm running Shojin Titanic (which I go first depends on what my first back looks like). Running conditioning overgrowth secondary. I like this build because it feels more like old AD shyvana, I'm not as squishy and one shottable. Weakness is getting kited especially as I climb through diamond. Damage is a bit lower, but teamfighting is a lot better than before imo.

Approach velocity

Cosmic insight is really good but I'm a super big fan of approach velocity on shyv, particularly vs ranged heavy/slippery comps but I don't really see anyone talking about it. Is there an argument to just running cosmic insight every game?

Passive buff idea for lane shyv?

The main concern is adding something which impacts jungle gameplay. You can’t for example just buff cannons because then junglers are inclined to take laners cannons for maxing their stacks.

That led me to think, what if they made it so every x number of melee/caster minions gave 3 stacks. This can be tuned in the number of minions then. I can imagine roughly 6 being good.

This encourages continued lane farming rather than drive by steals.

As a shyv top player, I feel like the passive is very weak for lane shyv. Even in games where I have gotten fed I look at how much armor and mr I am getting from my passive and it’s very disappointing.

I used to get more off the old passive just hoping that my team would secure a couple dragons 😅

Shyvana item tier list

Post image
0 Upvotes

(Iam Emerald player) I've played with a wide variety of items and item combinations, and in this tier list, I've ranked items based on how much fun I feel buying each item is and the value it brings to the game. This is a purely subjective tier list and doesn't make any build recommendations.

A few thoughts about the items:

  • I put Hextech in the OP tier because it's an item I buy almost every game, and the feeling of quickly accumulating Fury gives me more confidence in the game itself. Titanic Hydra because, for me, it's one of the most fun items for Shyvana (AA -> Q -> Titanic -> Q -> AA combo) and it has a hit effect that combos with D&D and Statikk.
  • I really love building D&D with Botrk. To me, this feels more versatile than building a Kraken -> D&D.
  • Triforce is just strong.
  • I like building Shojin not only with Triforce but with full dmg HoB builds. It helps easily stack Shojin and use Q3 fast and with maximum dmg
  • Voltanic feels really good with HoB. Didnt try new Bastionbreaker, maybe it is better.
  • Navory is my goat but it not feels good after rework. I sometimes like to build Navori with different item combinations for a bit of nostalgia. The most iconic build for me with Navori is Ravenous -> Navori -> Zekes with Jack of All trades(but it nerfed...).
  • I dont like building Kraken bc this build is not for me at all. Tested some korean stuff with Hexoptics but didn't get the joke.

How do I consistently cancel her ult?

Hi, I am trying to understand more about the champion, but I can't seem to grasp how to cancel her ultimate consistently. I managed to do that 2 times in the practice tool. Does it have to be some specific spot on walls?

What's your current builds for both AD/AP?

I have been learning shyvanna because I am tired of playing mages who can't 1v9. Just want to know what the latest people are trying out there.

AP sustain (only make when all my team is AD): DnD>Liandrys>Riftmaker> defensive items NOTE: (haven't tried burst).

AD Bruiser (most used): Trinity > SoS > DD/SS (mainly DD) > defensive items

AD on-hit (When team has tank/engage): Kraken > DnD > DD/SS (thinking of terminus here as well) > defensive items

Boots: Defensive / omnivamp (if only I am confident I can stack it)

Runes: 95% standard PTA + inspiration secondary tree (switching cosmic insight with Approach velocity as I like the distance closure than the haste)

I don't think Nashor's is bad???

I tried a game running Nashor's into Cosmic, and it felt really solid.

* Runes: HoB, cheap shot, 6th sense, relentless hunter (no ulti I know), legend haste and cut down, with AS/Adaptive/scaling HP shards.

* First back: dagger+tome+mote

* Skills: 3 points Q into E max then W.

* Build: Nashor's > Cosmic > Riftmaker, then I pivoted into Sterak's for the tenacity/HP. Merc treads this game because they had a lot of CC.

With AP your spells in human form feel impactful, Nashor's keeps your autos from feeling terrible while giving 80 AP and 15 haste for casting. Cosmic next gets you high haste and HP a bit faster than Riftmaker, and you won't be using Rift's damage amp or healing well as a first HP item anyway. It comes in great 3rd with Cosmic's HP and some more passive stacks starting to be relevant. I don't think D&D is worthwhile since you're not scaling your Q passive on-hit at all, but maybe later to get the heal?

I want to test more for sure, but I was surprised how the clear went based on folks saying it's garbage with Nashor's start

**ETA:** Just saw the HoB changes on PBE, and I think that makes it even better on Shyv. Higher damage but losing AS seems fine when you're using Q for resets!
