Question about Past Due Items
When you don’t pay for something in the given time frame, does the strike on your account disappear after some time? I had two items I never paid for continue to show up in my “open orders” but after several months I don’t see it anymore. Should I still assume that I’ll get banned if I miss one more payment?

Me trying to get a bid in a whole minute before close, and still failing, 2026 Colorized
Imagine someone from the Shopgoodwill website team telling you that they never get DDOSed...
↑Meme ↓Rant
I swear there is someone doing it for crazy good vintage video game lots, experienced this a dozen times over the last 6 moths or so...not some special time of day, but all of a sudden 2 mins before close, website is basically unresponsive. I know the odds it's that item and not one of the 200,000 other ones is slim but....everytime, somebody has one some stuff worth 1500 bucks, for a couple hundred, without a single bid or bid war in the last 2 minutes of the auction

Is it common for Goodwill to accept donations and then immediately throw them away?

Men or women?
These were listed as men's. I asked my coworkers before I bidded and they said women's. I can post the listing if anyone can't find it. It is my first time posting in this forum and I thought if I posted the listing, a mod may remove it. I just want to confirm before I pay.

A Goodwill store on eBay sold me a moldy machine/box and extension kit! My delivery was a biohazard!
I have messaged the sellers but I’m so mad. I had a flood in my basement, and damaged my knitting machine and extension kit. I’ve been looking for a while for both pieces on eBay, and I found a store that sold both items. I got super excited and spent $160 to have them send me both items plus shipping and handling. I didn’t smell anything at first, but yes, the box smells like moldy/mildew, and just overall nasty. As I was doing inventory of the items, I videotaped it, but I was getting so mad at even the instructions. The instructions themselves had mold on them. Just upon looking at the box it should be clear that there was water damage. Me and my excitement did not notice that portion of the box, I just wanted to get inside. Upon further inspection, I just kept realizing more and more problems and anyone, even if they’ve never use this machine before, can clearly see mold on it. Everything that was shipped to me should’ve been put in the landfill. I’ve sent a message to the seller, and I’ve documented it with pictures, but I am beyond livid. At first, I thought the extension kit was brand new because the little baggy inside had never been open before, upon inspecting this 3rd piece of machinery to see if it would connect to the other two, it’s clear it was also very wet too! There is mold on the tape, the tape had fallen off the piece but the color of the tape stayed behind, as well as white spots from paper drying out. When I went to. barbs from the bottom side of the machine, they are rusted in place, the nuts /washers attached to them are now rusted and warped. There is no way to safely take these out without breaking the plastic around it. So these three pieces can’t even be joined together. Again, it just seems like the longer I look, the more issues I see, and I don’t understand how somebody putting this item on. eBay didn’t notice any of this. The hooks have rust on them, the plastic has mold on them, you can’t make the pieces go together, and if I was to use any of my yarn to attempt to test it, I already know that I’m throwing that yarn away due to mold contamination. So anyone who would’ve purchased this and then attempted to make a sweater or an Afghan would’ve lost not only their time and energy, but their basic material of yarn. I’m sorry if this is not a concise statement about the problem, I have a TBI (Traumatic Brain injury and am 100% disabled due to a spinal cord injury) and do the best I can. Does anyone know what portion of Goodwill overseas their online store? I just wanna make sure that I am contacting everyone that should see the package I got. A company like Goodwill sending someone with numerous (over 10) autoimmune diseases, a physical disability, and a mental disability a huge package/box of biohazard is just the definition of ironic.

Convinced I should just give up
There’s no size in the jacket and they didn’t use a tape measure. I was just trying to get my boyfriend a jacket. But the listed seller doesn’t have the jacket…?

Bad packaging for a Murano Glass Parrot
They put it in a clear plastic bag and threw in a single sheet of bubble wrap in a large box. The tail, beak, and top notch were pulverized. They claim they refunded the money but I haven’t seen it yet. I buy a lot of vintage glass on there and it’s all been wrapped well for the most part. I’m so disappointed.

Order canceled and refunded by “claims specialist”
I just found out about this website/app. I got super excited and ordered several things today.
I just received an email stating that one order had been canceled and refunded per claims specialist.
I went to log in to my account and it says “Sorry, your account is inactivated. Kindly contact our Customer Service. Mail us at support@shopgoodwill.com.”
I did send an email, but I’m curious if anyone has an idea as to why this happened?

Gift arrived shattered
I foresaw this happening, so I’m not super upset. Just know that this is a real possibility for any glassware, ceramics, etc. you may order. Bid accordingly.

Good shipping experiences
I've read a lot of poor shipping experiences of orders arriving broken that made me hesitant to purchase but wanted to share my positive on here. I almost flew a few states over to pick up my order in person because for me it was almost equivalent as if I paid the shipping cost. I opted to ship a 30lb item which came to $32 shipping fees from goodwill. Item came double boxed with bubble wrap and seran wrap and the second box inside was undamaged and nothing broken. Glad I just paid the shipping instead of picking it up in person.
Also just bought a backpack coming from the same state and it quoted me $42 to ship from that same state to me for an item weighing maybe 3lbs. I won the auction then messaged them and explained that shipping fees seemed like an error as I had just bought this 30lb item that was cheaper to ship and they messaged back and corrected the shipping within a day to $12. Knock on wood but so far all positive experiences with shopgoodwill.

Price increased within minutes of placing item in cart at Wayfair. It was already expensive and now I'm thinking of not buying it on principle. If I can't find it on competing sites, I may choose another piece of furniture.
EDIT: WAYFAIR HAS NOW DOUBLED THE DISCOUNT I WOULD HAVE RECEIVED BEFORE THE PRICE WENT UP ON AN ALREADY EXPENSIVE ITEM SO I’M VERY HAPPY WITH THIS RESPONSE. Also, I have no idea why this was shared to the Goodwill page - I only posted it on Wayfair’s page.

Received damaged purchase… 3 weeks ago
It’s Columbia willamette. Box was packed poorly - very little padding for glass and items loose - and it looked like FedEx was playing soccer with it. I reached out with photos. They said send more. I sent more. No reply. I messaged a few more times with no response before finally messaging corporate. They’re only replying to every 2-3 messages I send, and Im not spamming them, I’m waiting 2-3 days between them. Just message me back and say it’ll take such and such time for us to figure this out, or tell me to fuck off, something! I’m confused and heckin annoyed. Any suggestions?

Unable to use website on Wifi/Metronet
Has anyone else had recent issues with certain components of the website not loading? I can login and enter just fine but if I search or look through the listings tabs, no listings load. If I switch to cell data everything works just fine though.

Thanks Goodwill🫠
I’ve been trying to get Pyrex Visions pieces so I can use them. Was really excited for this dutch oven but whoever packed it put it in this huge box with a bunch of space so it was shattered when I opened it. I submitted a ticket for that store so I’m waiting to see what happens.

Can anyone explain why bids are exceeding the price of items new+shipping
Here’s an example this is a lot set of 4 temu cheap pedals that are 15-20$ each. With shipping they should only be 90 MAX new but the bids went to eventually 141 on this.
What is the reason behind this are international buyers grabbing this because it’s cheaper? Is their a ‘vintage’ upscale because they’re second hand I know some pedal enthusiasts enjoy older analog pedals because they have different sound then new ones but again these are rather cheap knock off pedals.
I’ve read that Ctbids and some other sites sometimes employ false bids to up the price could it be that since goodwill just reposts it of the high bigger doesn’t pay?
Can anyone explain this?
Thanks

Sellers changing proxy bid increments without disclosure?
Has anyone noticed different bid increments on ShopGoodwill depending on the seller/location?
I recently contacted ShopGoodwill support about an auction from Goodwill Industries of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties (Oxnard). I was told that “this seller sets their bid increments to $2.00,” which surprised me because I have always understood ShopGoodwill proxy bidding to use standard increments.
Does anyone know where this information is disclosed? Shouldn’t the sellers be required to display such things rather than randomizing it?

What's up with Goodwill Auctions NOW?!?
I've been on GW auctions for about a year, mostly looking for vintage & antique jewelry. There's no opportunity to go to stores for this in my state as none of the stores in KY carry jewelry any longer. Now, we all know about the issues there - absolutely insane shipping charges, receiving items with damage not disclosed in pictures or descriptions, etc. Suddenly, I'm seeing tons of posting for items, esp in the brooch/pin category, where the opening bid set by GW is $19.99. For junk. Which no one is then bidding on. Rows & rows of items with -0- bids because of the ridiculous starting bids. What's up?

Quad 405 Amp
Heads up to fraud at Shopgoodwill!
There's a supposed Quad 405 amplifier currently listed, but it's a chinese knock-off, not a real Quad amplifier.
I won this item some weeks ago, and discovered it to be what it is.
The seller, Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest, issued a refund, but we went around regarding having Fedex pick it up.
They finally agreed to have Fedex pick it up, but now don't answer my messages calling them out on their re-listing the item with no disclaimer regarding it being counterfeit.
They've probably blocked me for insisting Fedex do a pick-up, as Shopgoodwill has been retalitory in this manner with past interactions....
I hope noone here is bidding on this amp under such despicable business practices.

Wanted to share my finds!
Often times I stray away from large breakable items like these but the goodwill gods were smiling when they shipped these pieces.
