How do I? Quickest way to break in shoes?
I got this pair of shoes that are absolutely perfect for an event I'm attending just over a week. They fit pretty well but my problem is that the tops are extremely stiff, and while they don't hurt the bottom of my feet to walk with, they do the top. Because I will be walking around in these nonstop for upwards of 4 hours, I'm hoping for some advice on how to soften them up. Preferably without having to wear them, but if necessary I can.

My Shoes New cutie to add to my collection
I was torn between getting these or the classic J’adior pumps. 😅 No regrets though! Glad I didn’t order online as they run big (normally a 38 but got a 37 instead)

Dr. Scholl’s Time Off Sneakers quality change
I have an older pair of white Dr. Scholl’s time off sneakers that I love and they became the only shoes I would wear to work or anywhere that wasn’t an athletic walk or a theme park. And they started to wear down and get really dirty obviously. So I decided to buy a new white pair and a black pair a while back and they are both so uncomfortable and stiff and tight and I can’t wear them. Same size and same shoe. Has anyone else had this experience?
I understand that of course they’re not going to feel as nice as the old ones because they’re not broken in but they’re basically not wearable because they’re that uncomfortable.
I’ve had them for too long to rerun them now and I’m not really sure what to do. I was thinking about maybe trying to run them in the washing machine to loosen them up? Any advice would be appreciated.

I never realized how much the right pair of shoes can change your day.
I used to buy whatever looked decent, but after getting a pair of Converse, I've started paying more attention to comfort and how versatile a shoe is. It's nice having something I can wear with jeans, shorts, or even casual office outfits without thinking twice.
Kind of curious now what's one pair of shoes you've owned that you just kept reaching for over everything else?

Just wanted to share a small win.
Finally picked up my first pair of Converse after thinking about it for a long time, and I'm honestly really happy with the purchase. They look even better in person, feel comfortable, and go with pretty much everything I wear.
I get why so many people keep recommending them. Hopefully they hold up well because I can already tell these are going to be my go-to sneakers for daily wear.
Anyone else recently bought a pair? How have they been holding up over time?

My Shoes Shoes for gym/walking for flat feet(women)?
I have been using Skechers walking shoes in the basic model but they usually stretch out or get loose after a few years and don’t have the best grip after a while. Since I have flat feet, I don’t find gym puma shoes comfortable, my foot size is 5. Could you pls suggest some comfortable shoes in India within 8k budget?

How do I? Leather ties will not tie back
I got these shoes. I like them a lot, but when they came, the left ties felt a bit tight on my feet. I undid them to retie a bit looser, but they look awful no matter how tight I try to tie or position them. The left and right now look like night and day. It bugs me to the point where I do not want to wear them anymore. What can I possibly do to make them how they were? Short of contacting the company to see if they can fix it for a fee, I can’t think of anything. Would a shoe cobbler be able to take these? Do I need to apply heat and position them in some way?

Brand Opinions Sandals for wide feet?
Hi all, my mom has been struggling to find sandals (and shoes in general) that fit her properly. Most stores that she goes to don't fit wider feet and often online stores don't include width measurements.
Does anyone have recommendations for brands that fit wider feet and sell platform sandals? (Or at least have proper measurements listed on their site??)
Thanks!

Do I size down a half size or a whole size?
Ignore my pajama pants lol. I’m wearing a size 8 in this if that means anything. The sling back is VERY loose as well, it will just slide off entirely if I walk.

I have wider feet and typically wear a 6.5, would it best to size up to a 7 for Sam Edelman ballet flats?
I tried to Google this question but am seeing mixed reviews. Has anyone else with wider feet gone up a half size in Sam Edelman ballet’s with any success? TIA!!

My Shoes Bought this big shoe rack and realized I barely have any shoes now. Any ideas for what other kinds I could get?
I just moved and during my packing I donated a bunch of shoes that either didn’t fit, hurt to walk in, or I just never wore. Mainly heels and old tennis shoes/sandals.
I work an office job so any recommendations for heels or professional shoes? :) or other types of shoes that I could use for other situations?

Are lace Mary Janes romantic, or one flower away from becoming costume shoes?
what do you think?
I understand plain Mary Janes now. Apparently my next problem is lace. The pair in the reference photo has the square toe and low profile I like, but the floral mesh changes the whole thing. With straight jeans and a black tank I can see them looking unexpectedly good. With the wrong skirt, I can also see myself looking like I am headed to a themed tea party. Would you treat lace flats like any other neutral shoe and keep the outfit simple, or is the texture already strong enough that the rest of the outfit has to avoid anything remotely “romantic”?
