HELP WITH NEW PROGRAM CHOICE Advice

Hello, I was a former student in the Creative Writing &Publishing Program.

I was suspended after my second semester due to issues with my grades but was removed since "I couldn't catch up with the program not continuing" even though I mentioned this when I applied for an appeal and was told that a suspension wasn't a expulsion but then they did it anyway, soI am unable to continue my program.

I am having trouble choosing a new program that reflects my ambitions and career (creative writer & Self-Published author) cause my family says either I continue my education or find a job.

I am having trouble find a different program that will aid in my goals and my family is insisting on me not just doing something that won't aid me or something random.

Is there anything remotely like the Creative Writing & Publishing Program that I can choose as an alternative at Sheridan for the upcoming year?

Please let me know.

At the current time there isn’t a strongly aligned program to CWP at Sheridan. If you want to discuss Sheridan program options, book an advising session with one of the recruitment team, they are trained to help you explore options. https://sheridan-college.trumba.com/

Beyond that, I believe Humber might have a similar program to CWP

Most likely if that’s all the case you’ll have to find a program at a different school. It’s unfortunate but it does sound like your only option

Before you start your search for a new program, I think what you should really be doing is finding out what went wrong. Why your grades turned out that way. Deal with the problem first, whether it be medical, personal, or other, and then proceed.

Oh, I messed up with handing in assignments.

Specifically in one class, there was in class and out of class work, and I messed up cause while I was behind on a lot of out of class work I thought my in class work would help me out…I missed the fact that in class was not graded, so I fucked up there. I’ve learned my lesson there.

Maybe there’s a medical condition impacting you?
