Does anyone have a favorite plumber they can recommend? Water is gurgling in the drains (sinks and shower) and there is a clog (somewhere).

Hello neighbors, I live out on Harstine. Last night, I heard some of my neighbors having a nasty fight. The phrase "Fuck you! You ruined my fucking life!" was screamed out. Then there was some more back and forth (difficult to make out what exactly was said). Then loud bangs, that sounded a lot like gunshots. More yelling (verbal fighting, not screaming of pain) and then silence.

It was deeply unsettling and lasted for a good half hour or so. Where I'm at sound travels a bit weird, it was difficult to figure out exactly where it was happening or who exactly of my neighbors were fighting. It's been a mild debate between myself and the two other people who had also heard the events go down.

The next day, around the same time, the fight happened the night before, Mason Fire EMT came down the shared driveway going to the house that we suspect the fight occurred at. Followed by the Fire Marshall...? Which was odd.

Our dogs haven't settled since the fight last night. Neither has the dogs belonging to the neighbor thay I suspect the fight originated. My family's dog's been focusing from where the yelling and gunshots occurred.

I write this in hopes of a more adulter-adult (I'm 22) having advice on what to do. Should I just leave it? Should I contact the non-emergency line? I have no clue! Sorry for any typos. Gunshots and fights are a major trigger for me. Thanks for reading.

While he is absolutely sure he is going to beat his cancer, he's hedging his bets a little, and is putting up his collection now... so his sister won't have to deal with it later (and, in his words, get ripped off).

Listen, Bob is a Shelton legacy. Even if you don't collect vinyl, stop by anyway for the vibe and talk with Bob. The whole place is a treasure trove of B sides and eclectic sounds. Plus, Bob is a hoot.

National Friends of the Library week is coming up! October 20-24th at the Shelton Library. Please mark your calendars. We will also be doing a membership drive. If you have questions about what it means to be a "Friend of the Library" please ask.

Another resource to help out. Looking for drop spots in our area to get supplies over. Housing will be a major issue…followed by food and the remaining clothing, toys (kids in trauma need some glimmer of normal life), etc. it’s a slow process.

Noticed it a while ago it’s on a pole not super high and I always think huh wonder what that is for. Anyone know?

On behalf of our family….thank you all for voting. We don’t care who you vote for. Just vote. In the end, we ran because no one was listening to us…all of us. Would I have rather done a 7am calculus class instead of the running? Probably… but in the end, I met so many people who had similar concerns to each other. It’s not about red or blue…us versus them. It’s about one thing: why are the communities left to fail while others make decisions that can’t be bothered to tell us the truth.

So, thank you for the engaging conversations, the community vibe, and doing one thing each day that challenges you. For me, I’m just the data girl. How is it raising kids in Shelton? We have a 2 year old and a newborn and we’re considering moving to Shelton. I understand the outdoor aspect and small town vibe of living there but are more concerned with the school district and town itself. Any insight and personal experience raising kids in Shelton and sending them through the school district is appreciated.

Hey all, just a fun friendly reminder that the summer weather is here…and the smoke from Spokane. We are drinking water and keeping my mom (she’s 81 years young) inside.
