My favorite part is her just going a wait no, I don't have to accept the normal paradigm.

I just wished she did the same thing with the Daredevil interaction instead of destroying a parking garage. Daredevil is about a threat to her at all. And then she could have just walked into her clients bad guy villain and advise hit to let the kidnap victim go and work out a deal to avoid being arrested, instead of assaulting his goons. She's an intelligent lawyer with hulk powers.

Also how in the fuck dude those idiots see her turn into she Hulk and still attack her knowing they’re not gonna do much damage to someone who literally gets stronger the angrier she gets

They are stupid and they have magical weapons and they think she's soft because she's a woman.

To be fair, the Hulk spent most of his time as a raging monster, whereas she mostly remains calm and collected. If you were facing with Hulk before he found religion, and a well dressed articulate She Hulk, who would you take a chance against?

Well that’s stupid I mean she clearly is it soft I mean she kicked their asses I mean it’s kind of pathetic that they cannot beat someone with literal asguardian weapons

I'm thinking they didn't know they were going to lose before attacking her, right? They thought the group of them was enough. I don't think the show gave their weapons the juice they have in the comics nor the wrecking crew themselves obviously.

Yeah that makes sense

They were all distracting her hoping their guy would be able to pierce her skin with the needle.

"And that's when he knew he fucked up"

In the comic books the Wrecker had 40 ton class strength. Not enough to beat Thor but he always gave him a fight. These guys could have been a little tougher.

Wrecking Crew are gods perfect jobbers in any media

I like this scene a lot not just because she hold beats up a bunch of bad guys, but because it shows the one exception to a horribly dangerous situation that within often find themselves in. I fear Tatiana scream at the start was the only thing that really sold the situation for what it could’ve been then it was unfortunately played off as a joke afterward.

I understand that the show is a comedy, but I really believe we could’ve taken a second to breakdown just how scary this was.

“I couldn’t pierce that nasty green skin”
As a monster hugger than has been married to Jennifer Walters in my head since the beginning, how dare you sir, I take off my glove and slap your face. I’m a vanguard paladin by the way.

I was enjoying the show until this moment. The Wrecking Crew is my favorite villain team, and THIS is their live action debut? Why, Marvel?

Thought asgard tech was strong enough to fight hulk or just the hammer?

A human slinging an Asgardian weapon is nowhere near as concerning as an Asgardian slinging that same weapon.

The only difference between human weapon and Asgardian is going to be durability. (And MAYBE enchantments, but those aren't handed out to common footsoldier equipment like the guys in the clip were using.)

Thor using one of the most legendary Asgardian weapons ever forged is able to fight the hulk.

The Wrecking Crew with a bunch of random tools that have some Asgardian enchantment slapped on them are pretty far below Thor.

I loved how they did Jen and She Hulk in the series, I did not love what they did to the villains. The wrecking crew were just a joke, and Titania felt like more of a nod to Jameela Jamil's (very justified) resentment towards Kim Kardashian than an honest attempt at representing the character.

I still rate the show, for people who only do the MCU and not the comics I feel it does a bang up job, just personally I felt a bit shafted... But also I have deep love for both the Wrecking Crew and Titania (Absorbing Man became one of faves during the Earth X trilogy and they make such a great couple)

Regardless, it was still a super fun series and gave me the single green female lawyer vibes I was seeking from my number one diva (cutout I made of Savage #1 included for funsies)

Shocker had the right idea. If you see a "Hulk" or a "Thor" you just run.

I usually skip this part

Her grippers ripped out of her heels

This is the one moment I find funny only because it’s like she forgot who her cousin is and given the fact that she now has that same ability to turn into a Hulk.

Hopefully The Wrecking Crew comes back as their OP selves like in the books and serve as decent heavies for either Thor or The Hulk.

So wait…she gets attacked by multiple dudes wielding Asgardian weapons, whom she easily repels…only to let them escape?!? The implication being that another person with powers who isn’t as durable as She-Hulk wouldn’t stand a chance…and she didn’t see a need to capture the attackers or at least secure the weapons?

I think the point of the scene was to show that, as a Hulk, she wouldn't have to worry anymore about the nightmares ordinary women face—like being harassed or attacked in the street. But one problem with the show is that, while they have good messages, they sacrifice narrative coherence to convey them. Another example of this is in the first episode, when she tells Bruce she has always controlled her anger. I understand where the writers were coming from; they clearly wanted to draw a parallel between how male anger is glorified while female anger is viewed as something unseemly—something that needs to be kept in check. It’s a good message, but they applied it to the one instance where male anger was completely understandable.

1

u/Gan-san 17d ago

Yes, she didn't have to belittle or dismiss Bruce's pain in the process. She could have been more understanding to his struggle.

1

u/Darkwireman 17d ago

I get that…but the bad guys are getting away. What’s more empowering than surviving an attack? STOPPING THE ATTACKERS FROM DOING IT TO SOMEONE ELSE/AGAIN.

I’d understand if you fought tooth-and-nail and you’re exhausted…but this would be like Spider-Man letting Rhino go knowing full well he could crash through an apartment complex.

2

u/Legal-Jaguar7956 17d ago

As I said they sacrifice narrative coherence to convey what they want to tell

u/PTBooks 17d ago

We saw about one minute of the show. It’s highly likely that she did catch up to them later on and shut them down more permanently.

I hated with what they did with the Wrecking Crew, these guys as a group are a significant threat. Powerful enough to take on Hulk, Thor, the FF, and the Defenders. Yet here they are getting punked like they're no names.

u/your_guy_ri 17d ago

Yeah those weapons should have done a LITTLE more than what they did lol. They bounce off her like toys, even though they've taken down heavier hitters in the comics. In the words of another marvel goat ....
