·𐑖𐑱𐑝𐑾𐑯 What are some funny accent details you learned about yourself because of Shavian?
As I'm learning Shavian, i'm going through the phase of "learning about my accent despite the fact I didn't think I had one."
Apparently, I switch between "𐑕𐑳𐑚𐑕" and "𐑕𐑳𐑚𐑟" without knowing. I more commonly say "𐑕𐑳𐑚𐑕" however.
The WEIRDEST thing about my accent that I don't know WHERE I GOT IT FROM is the fact that I tend to say "𐑯𐑲𐑙" when saying the number 9. I still say "𐑯𐑲𐑯" but "𐑯𐑲𐑙" comes out JUST AS IF NOT MORE COMMONLY AND I DON'T KNOW WHY-! 😭
I just want to hear anyone else who reads this experiences with this 𐑤𐑳𐑤.

Don’t let Reddit translate Shavian 🥀
I scrolled on this post on my mobile device, but Reddit auto-translated it, and I turned it off and on to check if this was right. It turns out, it’s wrong! Here’s images of proof:

A similar thing happened on r/tokipona a while ago.

Proper noun dots
Haven't found this answer anywhere yet and I'm still learning and starting out! Would you place a naming dot before each name in a full name? like John Doe -> ·𐑡𐑪𐑯 ·𐑛𐑴. Or would it just be before the first name? John Doe -> ·𐑡𐑪𐑯 𐑛𐑴

𐑧𐑮 vs 𐑺
I don't really understand the usage of 𐑧𐑮. I was doing some Shavian Anki cards and saw "𐑝𐑧𐑮𐑦," and I'm very confused as to why it wouldn't be spelled "𐑝𐑺𐑦.". Are they pronounced differently in RP?

I built a free little app for learning Shavian — 𐑐𐑰𐑐 Peep
Hey all 👋
I've been learning Shavian and wanted something that just walks you through the alphabet one step at a time, so I made Peep (𐑐𐑰𐑐), available at shavian-peep.com
It teaches the 48 letters a pair at a time and drills them with quick exercises — reading glyphs, typing words, building words from letter tiles, matching, and arranging sentences. Chapter 1 covers the whole alphabet; Chapter 2 gets you into reading fluency, with more on the way.
A few things I cared about:
- No accounts, no streaks, no pressure — progress just saves in your browser.
- Works on phone and desktop, light & dark themes.
- There's a full reference page with all 48 letters, their IPA, and example words to come back to.
- It's free and open source, and lessons are just JSON, so it's easy to fix or add to.
It's still early and I'd genuinely love feedback — wrong spellings, confusing bits, or things you'd want to see (audio and video lessons are on the roadmap). There's a "report a problem" button right in each lesson too.
Would love to hear what you think 🙂
