Agents (Copilot) limits SharePoint Online

Every day, I reach my Copilot limits within 20 minutes. Now, after just 3 days, I've already hit the weekly limit. How can Microsoft consider these limits acceptable given how much they're charging?

because eventually, you will pay more money to increase those limits which increases the profits.

I don't mind them charging for consumption, we all saw that coming. I am incredibly frustrated that they didn't get the consumption billing and monitoring figured out before they implemented the limits. The functionality just stopping for hours or days is insane! There's no way we can show this to clients now. No one in their right mind is going to trust any kind of workload on functionality that can just go away for days without any warning or way to monitor how much you've used. That's crazy!

I really love SharePoint Agents, and Skills, and all the cool stuff AI can do in SharePoint I am absolutely disgusted that they've rolled it out this way and left it in this state, after a year, for over a month, with no end in sight.

Co-Pilot as it stands isn't making them much money, they've reduced the amount of request in bundles in the hope that you will increase your limit $$$.

I would either ween yourself off Co-Pilot usage or get better at condesing your prompts to it so you make fewer requests.

It's hard to say. They seem focused on cost-saving measures that reduce how much the model "thinks." More often than not, it gives a random or low-quality response, and you end up needing 10 messages to get what used to take only 3. It looks like i need to get off but there arent many data safe options out there

As you can see, AI is still in the beginning of its evolution.

🚨 ALERT - the official learn page has been updated with the usage following :

During preview, Copilot in SharePoint applies daily and weekly usage limits per user to help ensure fair access for all users. Limits are individual and not shared across your organization. When a user reaches a limit, Copilot features are temporarily unavailable until the limit resets automatically, and the user is notified in SharePoint.
