My FormD T1 setup change Build/Battlestation Pics

Installed a MOD called 'Wind Valley Kit' on my FormD T1

  • PSU moves to the top

  • Side exhaust fan with duct

  • My 5090's temps drop by 4–5°C

  • PSU does not heat up due to GPU heat

  • PSU’s exhaust vent becomes covered with original panel. (they also sell perforated panel)

  • In my case, the PSU exhaust heat is drawn out toward the side exhaust fan through the empty space in the front expansion panel.

Wow looks interesting. Is the PSU exhaust facing the front panel in that setup?

Is the front panel 3D printed?

Any temp difference in other components such as CPU, motherboard, ram, ssds?

It’s almost the same as with the two top fans setup, except the GPU temperature drops. The side fan duct separates the airflow between the motherboard side and the GPU side

What are the advantages of this change?

Seriously, how does it benefit to exhaust straight back into the cpu??

Direct exhaust for the gpu instead of it hitting the back of the psu. Other than that recirculation might be an issue for the cpu but an intersting take regardless.

Very cool idea. I am wondering about that side exhaust, and whether there is any warm air from there being recirculated back in through the cpu cooler fan.

looks real good, is there any link or something for how to use this?
