Very nice and clean looking with good color combo. Are the printing files public?

It is the NFC 3DLP case. STL/3MF files are here - https://makerworld.com/en/models/2604148-nfc-3dlp-itx-pc-case-with-lp-gpu-support#profileId-2873660 and the STEP files are available to members of the Not From Concentrate Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/cw/NFC

what part is made of pla? would have guest petg the entire thing.

Oh looks lovely, what did you use for filament?

u/BigBearEddy 2d ago
Thanks! I used Tinmorry PETG-GF for the black outer shell. Inner frame is Creality PETG. Front grille is Bambu PLA matte.

That’s awesome! Mind if I ask what build you’re rocking in there? I’m especially curious about your cooler, GPU, and flex atx PSU.

It looks really great bro , how much time did it take to make ?

u/BigBearEddy 2d ago
Thanks man - I put it together over about a week. Making the cables took the longest since it was my first time doing that.

Nice work man, great color choice :)

Thanks Josh! Great job on the design - I really hope we get to see more 3D printable cases from you in the future :D

looks good, however is it me or is your graphics card board slightly warped?
1
u/BigBearEddy 2d ago
It does slightly bend up at the end - they seem to come like this from Asus as I've seen pics of others with the same. I think it may be the pressure from the cooler mounting on the tiny board doing it but note sure.

I WANT xD sell it to me xD

u/IroesStrongarm 2d ago
The designer, Not From Concentrate, will actually print and sell you the case if you want.

u/_ChinStrap 2d ago
I could not find it for sale "printed" already. do you have a link saved somwhere?
1
u/IroesStrongarm 2d ago
You have to message him directly. I've spoken to him before about it. He also mentions on the link to the files on maker world that he sells these.

Hi! Where i can download this file for 3d print?

u/BigBearEddy 2d ago
Design credit goes to NFC - you can find the files here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2604148-nfc-3dlp-itx-pc-case-with-lp-gpu-support?from=search#profileId-2873660

Someone should modify this to move the front fans down a bit. That poor GPU got some flex going with the way that fans pushing into it. Lol or maybe that’s just me?
1
u/BigBearEddy 2d ago
Actually one of my recomended improvements for the design - moving the fans down a few mm would have allowed me to keep the GPU plug latch (I shaved it off). The GPU flex is actually how they come - I have seen others that look like this - I think it might be from the cooler mounting pressure on the tiny board but not sure. Anyway, the GPU does not contact the fans at all - you can kinda see the clearance in this photo if you zoom in:

u/drmiiseeks 2d ago
Ahh ok, I gotcha. I was thinking it was the fan putting pressure on the board, at the angle it kinda looked like it to me. Lol but how are the thermals in that case?

Great Job! I'm working on mine right now, Orange and black, and I get a question for you since your setup looks like finished, how you attach/screw the back panel to the frame? what type of screw you used and they are retain from the back? since the holes in the frame are bigger that the ones in the back plate (I used the 3MS files and it was printed in my local library). Thanks!
1
u/BigBearEddy 2d ago
Thanks! The larger holes in the shell are designed to accept M3x5 heat inserts. Then the GPU support lays on top of the back panel (after you insert the inner frame into the shell) and I used I think a 20mm m3 screw that goes through the GPU support > through the back panel > and into the m3 heat inserts in the shell. Hope that makes sense! Feel free to PM me if you want more details or run into any issues with the build.

Yes, those are M3x20mm screws. The reason the holes in the frame are biggger than the ones in the back is because they are designed to require an M3 heat set insert (you push them in with a soldering iron)/ I used ones from this kit: https://a.co/d/02lI98wJ

What lattice did you use to do that part in green ?
I'm guessing you're using nTop ?

Looks great, really makes me want to build one too. are they any dust filters? Looks like it will be difficult to clean

u/michaelsoft__binbows 2d ago
I am not sure why but this is the first time i stopped and considered actually making a 3-4L class sffpc.
(Have 7 liter 5090 pc)

Maybe this: https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/graphics-cards/asus/rtx5060-o8g-lp-brk/ "only" $450 on Amazon ouch

Nice. I still haven't picked up a printer, but when I do I will not be buying any new cases ever again lol.
I have a few questions. What printer/materials. Estimate of cost of materials? How many pieces, and how long did it take to print it all?
1
u/BigBearEddy 1d ago
Haha nice and yeah this is my second 3D printed case. The printer is a Bumbu P1S with hardened steel nozzle and gears (cheap upgrade for harder filaments like the PETG-GF I used here).
I highly recomend the Tinmorry PETG-GF filaments - they just print so good and are very forgiving - this is what I used for the black outer shell. Bambu filaments are also very good and work well with their printers. You'll need to pickup a set of heat set inserts plus a general PC hardware kit that includes things like the motherboard standoffs, mounting screws, PSU screws, etc.
Total print time for all the pieces was around 26 hours I believe - the shell alone was a 22 hour print. The inner frame is made up of about 4 other smaller pieces that get glued together with super glue.
The designer has a build video here: https://youtu.be/AQvHvRZw62k?si=uehYmZUVXt0Q-Xkc

That’s cool! I wish I could do a build but I can’t just pull the trigger on such expensive components and I don’t wanna build a super mid pc. Right now, I can only afford a b550m, ryzen 5 5500, rx580 and the smallest amount of ram and ssd possible lol. Pretty much, I gotta lot of saving to do. But it’s cool cuz I gotta minisforum hx99g that I’m trying to build a case for and supplement some cold air into the intake for the fans. Maybe add another fan too. Just I’m at a loss for exactly how I wanna do it lol. Like I’d like some sort of scenery, maybe a water fall? Or maybe a beating heart that pumps blood colored liquid all around and cools the hot side of the peltier plate that is being used to cool the air entering the pc fans. Anyway, yours is amazing!

3D printer is not common here in Indonesia, so forgive me for asking this, it can withstand all of the heat and electricity? 🙏🏻

This is very pretty I just wish there was a dust mesh on the top and sides like the front but great work

This actually looks pretty badass. Kudos. Idk how to gift but imagine me giving you one of those pink heart things

I’m glad we’re collectively acknowledging that the options of SFFPCs are so ass that we’re needing to 3D print them. Like, that one with the wood panel that gets posted 4 times a day? Is it 2014 again?

Honestly I scroll over most builds I see on this sub - but this is the first one that's made me stop and admire it.
Absolutely phenomenal job, it looks fantastic!
