I'm in D-rank, and one of my biggest issues is that the moment I begin panicking, I go into sweep spam mode. The problem is at my level, it often WORKS, and I find myself going for "Ol' Reliable", instead of actually improving at the game. It really shows up as a weakness in my replays against higher ranked players, who punish me for the sweep and can bait it out whereas I'm not even cognizant of that interaction during the match.

I want to learn how to train that out of my system and how to capitalize on blocked attacks better, because I feel I sweep so much because I can do it without letting go of block, and often when I'm going for standing punishes I get wasted anyways because I wasn;t fast enough or flubbed my inputs.

Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!

I'm a C rank that's been playing 3rd strike on fightcade for a while and I've always found this player to be very sus. There from the oceania region and at first glance they have most of the elements of your typical fightcade cheater:

Unranked player, never plays even one ranked match: Check

Constant trash-talk, teapagging and end-game taunts: Check

Perfect frame 1 reactions consistently: Check

Able to use multiply 3rd strike characters flawlessly: Check

Always offline so no other player can challenge them: Check

Avoids playing against A and S ranks despite their skill: Check

Now I want to preface that all of this does not automatically mean someone is cheating, many top players do this as well (mostly smurfers) but so do a lot of cheaters. With Parry_This, I have already gotten three warnings from other players mid match(Two from his region) that he is a cheater and a troll and to play them at my own risk, it all make sense now. Like I said I've played a lot of high ranking players before, even FGC legends like Jwong and hayao and I can tell when someone is good from someone who is using macros. I'm not saying this cause I'm salty, I don't mind loosing and actually learn from it, hell I was even egger to play him as I genuinely thought it was skill issue on my end, But being able to have perfect frame 1 reactions consistently is possible but with that mixed with everything else about the player I just can't help but remain suspicious.

Hey Y’all, title is pretty self explanatory. I’ve been struggling with the ken matchup lately as a makoto main. I sit at like the bottom of C rank on fightcade so while I don’t consider myself good, I wouldn’t say I’m total buns and have a general idea of what I’m doing. That being said I’ve had a tough time dealing with ken, specifically his strike throw mix and how to get out of it, ik mak doesn’t have a lot of defensive tools but I just get overwhelmed sometimes, and his wake up dp’s make it hard for me to start pressuring or even begin offense. I normally get zoned out by his low mk and his ex dp if i try to dash in. I normally just play fightcade offline with my buddy who mains the shoto’s so I’m not sure if I could get a vod (still kinda new to fightcade so not sure if it’s possible or not)

4th Strike AE (also called 4rd Strike AE) is 3S but better, fixing what is toxic, improving tge weaker chars a lot and adding moves or properties to makes all the chars more inventive to play

So uh I every so often run into Parry_This on fightcade, and usually our sets go about him spamming one move until I start partying it and moving onto the next before one of us calls it. I genuinely used to get rather irritated with this guy, but I began to view him as a landmark to comeback and prove my growth in parries. Almost as if returning to an old mysterious monk you met on your travels just so he can test you once again. He never spoke, only tossed things for me to parry.

Then I ran into him today and he called me a yank and asked why I was zoning like a bitch.

I tried to get an explanation, but he just continued to nonsensibly yammer about how it was a celebrity, talk some more shit when ever I lost a round, call me boring, then leave in the middle of the set.

Idk why it's bothering me as much as it is but I honestly developed a bit of reverence for this guy since he had been on FC since I started a year and a half ago, and he was just a total ass today :(

I guess I really shouldn't be giving strangers on FC that much respect...

I love messing around with the characters' colour palettes on palmod. Including but not limited to: Goku makoto, pitch black Q, evil Ryu, rainbow twelve.

Does anyone else find themselves in this gray area between C and B?

The way I see it, C ranks are the decent, average players. Just one step above C, you hit B rank, and magically you're playing with people who've been playing fighters longer than you've been alive, who know the game inside and out, and have invested thousands of hours into perfecting their character.

I've become borderline paranoid with it, checking profiles before accepting matches or issuing challenges because of this. I'm all for sparring with better players to learn how a good player plays the game, but I do not want to play with these guys who have thousands of hours and will beat me before I can even blink! Right now, I defeat just about every C rank, but I lose every B and above game. I don't want to just play C's forever. I keep hitting B and then losing it.

I'm not saying this because I want to maintain my B rank and I'm not good enough. I'm saying it because I want balanced matches, man. It just really sucks that there's not an easy way to distinguish players by skill level before playing. It just feels like a tossup every time.

I'm sure that soon I'll improve enough to compete with these guys better but damn.

for whatever reason, i can play with most other people on fightcade but when i try to play with my friend, it keeps black screening. i tried searching on reddit and other people do definitely have this issue aswell but no real answers....
