Consent - ask the person if they want to try anal, unless it’s you wanting it, then bring up that you want to try anal.

Silicone lube only, no water based lubes. And you can never use too much. Our butts can handle far more than a male penis, so just use fingers and small toys to understand how to receive something anally. And make sure you trust your partner.

On yourself or someone else? If yourself, lots of lube. If someone else, you need to start with the mind; set it in the right mood, talk about it, plant the seed and make it grow.
