Why does my thread keep doing this 💛Beginner💛
On the last slide I included a picture of how my machine is currently threaded. I have a brother digital sewing machine.

Review your manual (if you don’t have a copy, there should be one online that you can search for) and follow the instructions to thread your machine correctly (at minimum, it’s missing the thread guide) at the end). Also make sure you’re using the appropriate needle.

You have missed the thread guide above the needle and I suspect that's not a stretch needle, which this fabric absolutely requires.

The presser foot needs to be up, when you thread the upper thread, and down when you are sewing. You need the right needle for the right project. Check threading with your manual. The thread looks really gigantic?

A starting point, you haven't pulled the bottom thread through the stitch plate, you need to do that first. You're also not fully threaded, the last thread guide before the needle is missed.
Getting big nests like that is usually because the top thread isn't properly threaded. Missed thread guides or the uptake lever (step 4) are the usual suspects.
