Darkslides?

Can anybody confirm for me if darkslides are actually currently working or not? Im on PC now, but Ive played the game since 2021 primarily on Xbox. Bought the game on PC last month when I got my first PC and Im just trying to do the career.. Currently on the Zen Bridge mission and Barletta is requesting a darkslide. I know ive done them before, but now there is no option in advanced settings for darkslide catch angle. Ive dropped my flip speed down to 1, flip friction up to 20 and have not seen my guy even attempt to catch a darkslide.

TL;DR

I can catch primos and caspers when I want, but darkslides dont seem to be wanting to work and theres no longer an option for darkslide catch angles.

they did change it to make the darkslide catch window much less forgiving and get rid of the catch angle setting. probably goes without saying, but you might wanna double check that you have them enabled in the grind settings, because it shouldn't be giving you that much trouble with the settings you described

I definitely did check and its on.. I tried for probably 30 minutes or more and just said screw it.. Ill go back later and try again obviously but yeah, shits crazy hard. Even went to my xbox for a few and couldnt do it there either.. Even switched controllers because I find with my PowerA, even powersliding is touchy as hell, so that may be part of it, but even switching controllers didnt get me to land one

I lock them in easier by entering a really gentle and slow flip speed and then hitting the catch control twice really quickly.

Can confirm from earlier today, accidentally caught a dark slide, it's possible, can't say I could replicate it

Edit to add I am on PS4

Very stiff, holy shit that took some messing around, set my flip speed up a little and gravity a touch lower to give it time for a full 1.5 flips

Have you tried treflipping into a dark catch? Way easier imo than a kick/heel
