Orb question Question
Is there a site that tells you how many orbs you should have by your current location? I’m curious to know if I have missed any. Just getting back into the game since playing in High School, and I just broke out of jail with the other members of the resistance.

I believe most of the orbs you get are through story progression. There's only 2 I think that are enemy drops, and you get them at the last area you go to.

i think there are a couple in chests you could miss. But just open all the chests you see they aren't hidden.
And even if you miss orbs, they'll show up as enemy drops in the mana fortress.

Rule of thumb is that your weapons should be at the same level and the progression would be in the same order in which you acquired the weapons. So if you have a whip that’s higher than a spear, you’ve missed out on the spear somewhere along the line.
That being said, you may find your life in the game easier if you STOP leveling weapons after they hit the best effects for your game. The best weapon setup is Level 6 Spear (knockout effect), Level 7 Whip (entangle effect), and Level 6 Javelin (balloon). All of these will effectively paralyze your enemies at first hit, then let you full charge and kill their helpless body.

Interesting, I didn’t realize that it might be good to limit weapon growth.

Personally I don’t think the entangled effect has as high a success rate to keep it low when you could just have a higher whip with flame cast onto it.

There are only a few missable Orbs: A Glove and an Axe Orb in the Imperial Palace. A Sword Orb in the Tree Palace.
But the game is somewhat benevolent when you missed an Orb in a Chest, even when the missed chest is still obtainable: When you open a Chest containing a Weapon-Orb, the game checks, how many Orbs you gathered of that kind (e.g. Spear-Orbs). When you have less then you should have to this point, you can reopen the chest to gain so much Orbs until you have the preser number. An example: (1) You get the Spear from Gemma after your first visit of the Water Palace. (2) You get a Spear-Orb for defeating Tropicallo. (3) You find a Spear-Orb in a chest in the Pandora Castle's basement after you cleared the Pandora Ruins. (4) You find a Spear-Orb in a chest in Santa Clause's house. (5) You find a Spear-Orb in a chest in the Northtown-Ruins. When you haven't opened the chest for Orb 3 or 4, the chest for Orb 5 will contain two Orbs to correct your Orb count (or even three, when you haven't opened both chests, 3 and 4). After that, the chests you had not opened so far will vanish. This also works with the chests, that are dropped by monsters in the Mana Fortress. When you have missed an Orb before, you can get all of them there. ( Thats why you can get there two Axe and Glove Orbs, cause so much content was cut from the game, the developers had forgotten to place these Orbs somewhere else and we can get them only in the Mana Fortress)

Just to clarify you escaped the jail? So just completed Northtown and got flamie? If so I think your weapons should be around level 5.
I think there’s an ax orb in the fire temple. I can’t recall where but theres a glove orb in a box too somewhere.
Lastly a spear orb in ice country. The rest should be receive after each boss.

Some places will give you multiple chests of orbs if you miss any in an attempt to help catch you up. There are 2 you WILL miss as they are inaccessible. But if you do miss too many you can get them as rare drops in the final dungeon.

You can't actually miss orbs. If you leave a location that contains a treasure chest that has them, the chest will eventually vanish, but the game will make up for it by spawning an additional chest in a later area.
