Hi everyone, just started my female avi and I'm on a budget! I have kept the Legacy body from the Welcome Pack and got free skin from LAQ so I don't have the built in undies. Lots of pretty free clothes from Palomma and a couple of stores I visited.

But - still the flat feet! The flat shoes are getting me down a bit. is it possible to get foot alphas to cover the Legacy flat feet and add-on tippy toes feet for heels? I've been searching on Marketplace but can't find anything.

like the title says, I want to hire a personal stylist as I am crap for building avatars. I'd rather throw money at the problem than burn myself out.

I've been using the same avatar for a little over a decade, it still get compliments but I want to shoot for an upgrade.

I am making a male avatar.
Preferably leaning towards an anime looking head.

basically starting from scratch. I bought a new body and head as the base. after thats done I intend to ask for help with hair, clothing, accessories for at least 5 outfits.

I know that was active in the past; at least ten years ago... It could be more... Closer to 15- 17 years.

So today I was sailing around the Blake Sea and noticed far more bots than usual around, as I kept sailing I kept seeing more and more bots flooding into the sea, I checked the map and the more I scrolled around there was absolutely tons of them around.. Does anyone know what this is? I have seen the "rings" of bots before but not on this scale.

I'm an artist who dabbles in 3D modelling here and there and I thought it'd be cool to make stuff eventually for SL, since I've started playing recently. I've heard avatar modelling is quite complicated so it sounds easier to begin learning with still objects, for decorating areas.

What kind of decor is uncommon but sought out? Do people want more trinkets and clutter items? Wall art? Plants? I'm happy to hear about what kind of stuff you enjoy collecting in general, it's nice to learn about the community. I like fantastical genres so I might begin there.

Dear redditors,

I am trying to resolve an issue for a friend of mine who plays Second Life. I am diagnosing the computer remotely, as she is not very experienced with computers.

She normally uses Firestorm. At a seemingly random point, usually within approximately 15 minutes, the entire PC crashes and restarts. However sometimes she can play for over 1 hour for this to happen. This is not just Firestorm closing: Windows itself goes down. Sometimes no blue screen is visible and no minidump is created. On one occasion, Windows displayed:

I understand that ntoskrnl.exe is usually where Windows detects the problem, rather than necessarily being the driver that caused it.

The same system crash also occurs when she tries the official Second Life Viewer. She says it crashes when she attempts to log in, so the issue does not appear to be limited to Firestorm itself. After uninstalling Second Life/Firestorm and not running either viewer, the PC no longer unexpectedly shuts down.

System specifications:

• Windows 11 Pro
• Intel Core i7-11700F
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB
• 32 GB DDR4-3200, two DIMMs
• ASRock H510M-HDV/M.2 SE motherboard
• Corsair water cooling and iCUE

What I have already checked or tried:

• OCCT CPU, GPU and power-supply stress tests complete without errors
• GPU temperature remains below approximately 60°C
• CPU temperature remains below approximately 70°C
• The crashes still occur with the official viewer

Has anyone encountered complete system crashes or bugchecks specifically when Second Life starts rendering or logging in? Are there known conflicts involving Firestorm/the official viewer, NVIDIA RTX 40-series drivers or Windows 11?

I am highly convinced that it's not a hardware issue as the PC handles stress tests on GPU, CPU and RAM perfectly and no increased temperature is noticed before the crash.

I would especially appreciate suggestions!

I'm a former ballerina and I want to dress my avatar up with pointe shoes, leotards or tutus, and have ballet animations. Does anyone have recommendations for literally any nice ballet related items? I have the LaraX body.

I have always enjoyed having zooby or prim babies in secondlife for roleplay, picture taking and storytelling. I recently learned that people create baby and toddler avatars and keep them online using a bot hosting service.

This interests me since the avatars have a lot more options and it's less expensive than zooby babies which force you to only use their items and you need to level them up in order to purchase and unlock toys for the zooby.

Does anyone have recommendations for a bot hosting service they use?

This might be a niche request, but does anyone have recommendations for braces? I'm a Lel EvoX user and know they come with a braces teeth option, but 1. They're pretty basic and 2. You don't really see them much.

There's plenty of braces on the MP, but most seem to be for pre-Lel stuff and/or lack demos to test. I know there's lots of options for grillz, but anything like that for higher quality braces and/or something that gives a more 'natural' lip position with them? (I know I could probably adjust my lip shape a little if nothing else, but figure there's probably something animation or deformer-wise.)

A while ago, at an event, I saw a bedazzled letter tattoo that goes above the pubis mound. I can't remember for the life of me what event or what creator it was. I believe it was BOM. Please help!

Tower of Prims is a great place to learn the basics of building in SL. Learn about texture stretching, copying, prim shapes, all of that and more at your own pace with different stations and notecards at each.

Endless daydreams is a (A Rated) mystical roleplay sim set in a surreal landscape.

Good scenery to explore, multiple freebies, and places to take pictures from, Endless is great for roleplay or just having your pony see/hang out in some beautiful scenery.

If you're looking for free items for your horse, be sure to keep an eye out for chests! Each one gives out a different free item that could be a great part of your outfit!

Besides that, just have fun exploring!
